Job Brief:
We are looking to hire a detail-oriented and driven Finance Controller to oversee the
financial operations of our organization. As a Finance Controller, you will be
responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, driving
strategic financial planning, improving operational efficiency, and providing
leadership to the finance team. Your expertise will contribute to business decision-
making and ensure that the company complies with all financial regulations while
achieving its financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
o Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements, including balance sheets,
profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
o Ensure that all financial records are accurate, timely, and compliant with
regulatory standards.
o Present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports to senior
management and stakeholders.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
o Lead the preparation of the annual budget and provide financial forecasting
support.
o Conduct variance analysis to monitor the budget’s performance and offer
corrective action plans.
o Collaborate with departments to align financial targets with operational goals.
3. Internal Controls and Risk Management:
o Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company’s
assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
o Identify and mitigate financial risks that could impact the organization’s
stability or profitability.
o Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including tax
regulations and accounting standards.
4. Cash Flow and Liquidity Management:
o Oversee cash flow management, ensuring sufficient liquidity for day-to-day
operations.
o Optimize working capital by monitoring accounts payable, receivable, and
inventory management.
o Monitor cash flow forecasts and manage relationships with banks and financial
institutions.
5. Cost Management and Efficiency:
o Analyze operational costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and
process improvements.
o Track capital expenditures and manage project budgets to ensure efficient
allocation of resources.
6. Team Leadership and Development:
o Lead, train, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and
professional growth.
o Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback to team members to
improve their skills and capabilities.
7. Strategic Business Partnering:
o Collaborate with senior management to drive strategic business decisions
through financial data and insights.
o Provide financial expertise to help other departments optimize resources and
achieve their targets.
o Support business units in investment decisions, capital budgeting, and
expansion plans.
8. Audit and Compliance:
o Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure audits are completed
smoothly and on time.
o Assist in the preparation for financial audits and ensure corrective actions are
implemented for any findings.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A master’s
degree or MBA is a plus.
Professional certifications in finance are highly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with
at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership position.
Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial
analysis.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS) and financial
regulations.
Proven experience in managing financial systems and reporting
software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Excel).
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial
data and provide actionable insights.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact
with senior management and stakeholders.
Ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a collaborative work
environment.
