Printing a Workbook in Excel

Print a Workbook in Excel

To print a workbook in Excel, follow these steps:

1. Open the Workbook

• Open the Excel workbook you want to print.

2. Select the Sheets to Print

• If you want to print specific sheets, hold down the Ctrl key and click on the sheet tabs at the
bottom of the window to select them.
• If you want to print the entire workbook, skip this step.

3. Open the Print Menu

• Go to the File tab in the top-left corner of the screen.


• Select Print from the menu on the left, or press Ctrl + P on your keyboard.

4. Adjust Print Settings

• Printer: Select the printer you want to use from the dropdown menu.
• Print Range: Choose whether to print the entire workbook, active sheets, or a selection.
• Orientation: Select Portrait or Landscape.
• Paper Size: Choose the appropriate paper size (e.g., Letter, A4).
• Margins: Adjust the margins if needed.
• Scaling: Fit the sheet on one page, or scale to a specific number of pages.

5. Preview the Print

• Use the preview pane on the right side of the Print menu to ensure everything looks correct.

6. Print

• Click the Print button to send the workbook to the printer.

Additional Tips:

• Print Titles: If you want to repeat row or column headers on every page, go to the Page
Layout tab, click Print Titles, and set the rows/columns to repeat.
• Print Area: To print only a specific range, select the cells, go to the Page Layout tab, and
click Print Area > Set Print Area.
