I am writing to express my sincere interest in the Security Officer Band 3
position at the University of Leicester Hospital. I am dedicated and
compassionate individual who is committed to delivering patient centered
and the entire organisation security with high level of professionalism and
treating people with respect all the time. I have a degree in Education
(Psychology) and also fully SIA-accredited security officer in door supervision
with over 5 years of security experience in the mining industry.
As a highly skilled security officer with a robust background in mining
industry security duties, I am excited about the prospect of contributing to
your dynamic team. I bring not only security expertise and technical
proficiency but also a strong command of the English Language. Also, I am a
computer literate with competency in Microsoft office package for analysis
and report production.
My Bachelor’s degree was conducted entirely in English and has equipped
me with a solid foundation in both theoretical and practical security aspects.
I am therefore able to articulate complex concepts in English, and I can
communicate fluently with patience and colleagues.

role, I am assured I have attained all the essential criteria required. In line
with your desirable attributes, I have certificated evidence to demonstrate
my commitment to attending relevant study days and courses, and I am
confident that my security experience and computer literacy align
seamlessly with the person's specification requirements.
In my past role in the mining industry, I had the opportunity to work well in a
diverse team. I worked within a large team made up of people from different
nationalities, ethnic groups, religious and sexual orientations where I
developed the ability to communicate effectively and work within the team.
Throughout my career, I have developed a strong foundation in all general
aspects of security. My expertise encompasses, being able to understand a
situation quickly, being calm in stressful situations, being resilient in dealing
with other people’s challenging behavior, being able to follow procedures,
and ensuring a well-rounded skill set that aligns with the comprehensive
knowledge required for the role.
I bring hands-on experience in CCTV monitoring systems for security. In my
previous job, there was a theft case in the gold room which posed a great
challenge to the management. My ability to analyze CCTV footage assisted
the committee in bringing the culprit to book. This expertise will enable me
to contribute effectively to your institution’s security capabilities.
Furthermore, from my previous teaching job, I developed a valuable
professional and empathetic approach to dealing with people. I was part of
voluntary teachers devoted to helping students with learning disabilities in
the selected rural areas. This gesture exposed me to dealing with students
according to their individual needs. My empathetic approach to student care
ensures a compassionate and understanding interaction, acknowledging and
adapting to the unique needs and concerns of each student. I am proactive
in identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing
initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency and overall departmental
