Pattern
INFO AND TIPS
This cardigan has a classic raglan construction with beautiful I-Cord edges at the neck, the
sleeves and the hem. It has a lot of positive ease.
I-cord edging
With needle 6 mm: CO 5 sts using the knitted method on the left-hand needle. Work *k4,
k2tog tbl. Move the 5 knit stitches from the right-hand needle back onto the left-hand
needle. * repeat *to* until all sts have been bound off. BO the remaining 5 stitches and sew
the i-cord neatly together.

RAGLAN V-NECK
With two strands of yarn on 8 mm (US 11) circular needle CO 38 (44) 44 stitches and divide
them as follows:
Size S: Purl 1, PM, purl 8, PM, purl 20, PM, purl 8, PM, purl 1
Size (M) L: Purl 1, PM, purl 10, PM, purl 22, PM, purl 10, PM, purl 1
Row 1: knit to SM, M1L, slip SM, M1R, knit to the next SM, M1L, slip SM, M1R, knit to the
next SM, M1L, slip SM, M1R, knit to the next SM, M1L, slip SM, M1R, knit to the end of the
row
Row 2: Purl all stitches
Row 3: knit 1, M1R, knit to SM, M1L, slip SM, M1R, knit to the next SM, M1L, slip SM, M1R,
knit to the next SM, M1L, slip SM, M1R, knit to the next SM, M1L, slip SM, M1R, knit to 1
stitch before the end of the row, M1L, knit to the end of the row
Row 4: purl all stitches

Repeat those four rows a total of 11 (13) 13 times.
Size L only: repeat the first two rows 4 more times.
You should have 68 (80) 88 stitches for the front, 52 (62) 70 for each sleeve and 64 (74) 82
for the back.
Now you separate the sleeves from the body:
Knit to the first SM, slip the sleeve stitches on some leftover yarn and let them rest, CO 1,
knit to the next SM, slip the sleeve stitches on some leftover yarn and let them rest, CO 1,
knit to the end of the row.
BODY
Knit until your piece measures 14 (16) 16 cm from the CO stitches under the arm.
Switch to your 6mm circular needle and knit one row. Break the yarn and let the stitches
rest.
I-CORD-EDGE
CO 5 stitches on a 6 mm needle and work an I-cord-edge as described in the ‘Info and tips’
section, starting from the middle of the back. Pick up stitches and knit them together with
the last stitch of the I-cord. Once you reach the bottom you use the resting stitches. Work
your way up to the beginning of the I-cord and sew the ends together.
SLEEVES
Put the sleeve stitches back on your 8 mm circular needle and pick up 1 stitch under the
arm. Knit until the sleeve measures 26 (28) 30 cm.
Knit 1, K2tog until the end of the row
With 6 mm circular needle: knit one row
Finish with an I-cord edge as described in the ‘Info and tips’ section.
Weave in all of the ends and enjoy!
