Dear Sir/Ma

Subject: Appeal for Deferred Payment of Outstanding Tuition and Resit Fees

I am writing to formally appeal for your consideration to permit me to sit for my

upcoming examinations on Monday, despite not having completed the full payment of
my tuition fees and resit fees. I am currently a 500-level student in the Medicine
and Surgery department and have encountered unexpected financial difficulties which
have hindered my ability to pay the outstanding amounts on time.

To date, I have managed to pay 60% of the required tuition fees, totaling 1,109,300
Naira. The remaining balance is 735,700 Naira. Additionally, I have an outstanding
resit fee of 600,000 Naira which I have been unable to settle due to the financial
constraints my family is currently facing.

The reasons for the delay in payment are multifaceted. My family has recently
experienced a significant drop in income due to unforeseen circumstances, which
include medical emergencies and loss of employment. Despite these challenges, we
are committed to fulfilling our financial obligations to the university.

I kindly request your understanding and approval to allow me to take my exams as

scheduled while I continue to work towards settling the outstanding balances. To
demonstrate our commitment to resolving this matter, I propose the following
payment plan:

Remaining Tuition Fees (735,700 Naira):

Payment Date: July 31, 2024

Amount: 367,850 Naira
Payment Date: September 30, 2024
Amount: 367,850 Naira

Remaining Resit Fees (600,000 Naira):

Payment Date: August 31, 2024

Amount: 300,000 Naira
Payment Date: October 31, 2024
Amount: 300,000 Naira

This structured payment plan will enable me to focus on my academic

responsibilities without further hindrance and ensure that the university receives
the owed amounts in a timely manner.

I am genuinely committed to my education and am determined to complete my studies

successfully. Your consideration of this appeal would greatly assist in alleviating
the financial burden temporarily and allow me to continue my academic pursuits
without interruption.
Thank you very much for your understanding and support in this matter. I look
forward to a favorable response.

Yours sincerely,

Nkechi Matthew Ifechukwude
