Takai - expensive yasui - cheap
Hansamu (na) - Handsome
Takai - high hikui - low
Kirei (na) - beautiful, clean

Shizuka (na) - quiet Hayai - fast usoi - slow

Nigiyaka (na) - lively Hayai - early usoi - late

Yumei (na) - famous


Yasashii - kind kibishii - late
Shinsetsu (na) - kind
Oishii - delicious mazui - bad taste
Genki (na) - healthy, sound, cheerful
Akarui - bright kurai - dark
Hima (na) - free

Benri (na) - convenient (time) Kakoi - handsome minikui - ugly

Suteki (na) - fine, nice, wonderful Omoi - heavy karui - light

Ookii - big Chiisai - small
Amai - sweet Suppai - sour
Atarashii - new Furui - old
Karai - hot Koi - thick/strong
ii/yoi - good Warui - bad
Nigai - bitter usui - thin/weak
Atsui - hot tsumetai - cold (touch)

Shiroi - white Kuroi - black (NOUN) wa dou desu ka.

Akai - red Aoi - blue Q : VMA wa dou desu ka. (NA)

A1 : VMA wa kerei desu.


Kiiroi - yellow Chairoi - brown
A2 : VMA wa suteki desu.
Midori - green Murasaki - purple
Q : VMA wa dou desu ka. (I)
Pinku - pink Orenji - orange A1 : VMA wa takai desu.

Beju - beige A2 : VMA wa chiisai desu.

Grammar Pattern #1
Particle using ga and soshite
(NA) adjective to become negative
Ga - means but (+ -) (- +) adjectives

Hansamu (na) - hansamu ja arimasen Soshite means and (- -) (+ +) adjectives

Kerei (na) - kerei ja arimasen

Suteki (na) - suteki ja arimasen Ex 1. SM depato wa dou desu ka.

-SM depato wa you desu ga, takai desu.


(I) adjective to become negative
-SM depato wa takai desu soshite,
yokunai desu.
Ookii - ooki + kunai

Chiisai - chiisakunai
Ex 2. Nihon tabemono wa dou desu ka.
Samui - samukunai Nihon tabemono wa oishii desu ga, takai
desu.
Oishii - oishikunai
Nihon tabemono wa oishii desu soshite,
yasui desu.

Ex. 3 Borakai wa dou desu ka.

Borakai wa kerei desu ga, takai desu.

Borakai wa shizuka desu soshite, suteki


desu.

A: Cebu wa nigiyaka na machi desu.

Q: Milano san wa donna hito desu ka.

A: Milano san wa hansamu na hito desu.

A: Milano san wa kibishii hito desu.

Q: Sampaguita wa donna hana desu.

A: Sampaguita wa suteki na hana desu.

A: Sampaguita wa shiroi hana desu.
