INSTRUCTIONS TO GET TO LVM SCREEN
System: Candela MGL & MGY
GentleLase Mini (MGL) - GentleYag Mini (MGY or VPYAG)
The MGL & MGY must be calibrated with a 15mm handpiece. If you
know how to calibrate your machine, proceed to Step Seven.
Step One: Turn key to turn the machine on
Step Two: Allow machine to warm up for around 10 minutes. Insert
15mm handpiece into the calport. Your screen will confirm, on the
lower left corner, that the handpiece is the correct size.

Rate Time
This is your main screen.
Step Three: Adjust the energy, speed & timing by pressing the Fluence,
Rate & Time buttons and using the up & down arrows in the center of
the screen to adjust (see above picture).
MGL Settings- FLUENCE: 30 J/cm2 RATE: 1.0 Hz TIME: 3 ms
MGY Settings- FLUENCE: 44 J/cm2 RATE: 1.0 Hz TIME: 3 ms

Step Four: Press down arrow button and your next screen will ask you
to confirm the 15mm handpiece. Press the Check button on the left.
Step Five: Your next screen will say “Press”. Press and hold the blank
center button in the middle of screen until your laser begins to fire and
calibrate. Continue to press & hold until screen changes.

Step Six: When your laser is done calibrating, it will tell you to remove
the handpiece from the calport. When removed, it will return you to
the main screen.
Step Seven: Press the arrow button on bottom right of screen.

Step Eight: The next screen will look like this:
Press and hold the
arrow button on the
bottom right of this
screen.
Step Nine: You are now at the Laser Variable Mode (LVM) screen.
Take a picture of this screen.
The technician will need the Last Faults and the HV@60JHD
