Kevin P. Rojek has been named special


agent in charge of the FBI’s Pittsburgh
Field Office.

Before the appointment, Rojek was


serving as chief of staff for the bureau’s
Criminal, Cyber, Response, and Services
Branch.
Rojek joined the FBI in 2002, when he
was assigned to the Norfolk Field Office
to investigate counterintelligence issues.

In 2010, Rojek became supervisory


special agent of the Norfolk Field Office’s
cyber and global counterintelligence
squad.

In 2012, he was promoted to the Cyber


Division’s Asia Cyber Operations Unit at
FBI headquarters.

Rojek returned to the Norfolk Field Office


in 2013 and worked on the Special Agent in Charge Kevin Rojek.

Cincinnati Field Office, where he oversaw all criminal and national security
computer intrusions investigations.

In 2019, Rojek was promoted to assistant special agent in charge of the


Cincinnati Field Office, where he led the cyber, intelligence, security and
administrative programs, in addition to the Evidence Response Team and SWAT
team.

Rojek was promoted in 2021 to section chief and detailee of the National Security
Agency/U.S. Cyber Command in the bureau’s Cyber Division.

Rojek became chief of staff for the Criminal, Cyber, Response, and Services
Branch last year.

Before joining the bureau, Rojek served 11 years as a commissioned officer in the
U.S. Army, where he became a major. He also served in Afghanistan during the
war in Afghanistan following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Rojek received a bachelor’s degree in political science from American University.
