VOLTAGE SUPPLY UNIT (VSU)
• Ensures a more stable voltage supply to the
iEi display
• Attached with Velcro- removeable base
FLUSHING & MINIMUM
PRESSURE VALVE
• Also found on the Pantera Dpi series
• Amended version – internal valve change
• Combines the flushing & minimum pressure functions
• Allows system to control the minimum pressure
− If measured pressure drops below 2.0 bar, use of
actuators is prevented
• Hydraulically operated
17
FLUSHING & MINIMUM
PRESSURE VALVE
• 1.5mm orifice in flushing line in neutral position
• Controlled hydraulically with Y10
− Valve starts to open at ~ 4 bar
− Valve is fully open at ~ 24 bar
18
MEGABLOCK
TRAMMING HYDRAULICS
• Improved straightness of forward-tramming
− Forward tramming pressure lines connected in
parallel
• A ports (including Ø1,0 mm orifice) now connected
in parallel
− New tramming directional control valve spools
• Better control of oil flow
• Return-end of spool causes less back pressure:
increased pressure difference over the motor (more
tramming force)
• ELS (Electric Load Sensing) for tramming
introduced to DXi
• These changes are still in the testing stages
19
MEGABLOCK
FEED HYDRAULICS
Feed directional valve, main spool change
• Same working principle as previous
spool
• Improved fine adjustments of feed speed
• Improved threading with CT tools
20
CASSETTE VALVE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY
PITO SEGMENT
• Additional tank line T2 for PITO-valves
− Prevents high tank pressure
− To minimise jaws closing “by themselves”
• Check valve V28 added
− Connects T1 to new T2 line
− Prevents high tank pressure in PITO circuit
• Pressure reducing valve V11 moved to
PITO segment
− Previously located in the cassette segment
21
CASSETTE VALVE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY
CASSETTE SEGMENT
• Both “Soft grip” valves V18 and V21
now standard in the manifold
− Previously only V21 was standard
• Pressure reducing valve V12 moved
to cassette segment
− Previously located in the PITO
segment
22
SANDVIK KNOWLEDGE BOX
ENABLES SECURE COMMUNICATION CHANNELS
• Previous cellular modems (Quake & Black Bear)
− Has reached EOL
− Quake only supported 3G GSM networks
• Response to increasing connectivity requirements
from customers
− Knowledge box is 4G compatible
• Possibility to connect with customer radios and pit
networks
• Supports data and connectivity platforms, such as
My Sandvik digital products
24
ENGINE OPTIONS
• Volvo TAD851VE 185kW (Tier 3)
• Volvo TAD881VE 185kW (EU Stage V, Tier 4F) – “dual stamp”
