Individual Values
These are values that guide
personal behavior, decisions, and
self-identity. They reflect what
individuals consider important in
their own lives like Honesty, self-
reliance, autonomy, personal
freedom.
Aesthetic Values
Aesthetic values pertain to
what is considered beautiful,
artistic, or visually pleasing.
They are often subjective and
connected to personal tastes
and cultural perceptions of
beauty in art, nature, and
design like beauty, harmony
and originality.
Cultural Values
Cultural values are the shared
beliefs, customs, and traditions
that shape the identity and
behavior of a group of people.
These values are learned and
passed down through
generations, influencing social
practices and norms like Family
structure, respect for elders,
hospitality, collectivism.
Citizenship Values
Citizenship values refer to
the principles and
responsibilities associated
with being a member of a
society or nation, such as
active participation, respect
for laws, and contributing to
the welfare of the
community.
Economic Values
Economic values are principles
related to the production,
distribution, and consumption
of goods and services,
emphasizing efficiency, wealth
generation, and the equitable
allocation of resources within a
society like efficiency,
productivity, wealth, economic
freedom
Emotional Values
Emotional values are the
importance individuals
place on feelings, emotional
well-being, and
interpersonal relationships.
These values often influence
behaviors, decision-making,
and attitudes toward others
like Love, empathy,
compassion, emotional
intelligence.
Moral Values
Moral values refer to the
principles of right and wrong
that guide human behavior,
often based on societal norms,
ethical reasoning, or religious
teachings. like Integrity, justice,
fairness, compassion,
responsibility.
Intellectual Values
Intellectual values are
related to the pursuit of
knowledge, understanding,
critical thinking, and
intellectual development.
These values encourage the
search for truth, logic, and
rational inquiry like
curiosity, objectivity, open-
mindedness, truth-seeking.
Religious Values
Religious values are beliefs
and practices based on
religious doctrines or
spiritual systems, guiding
moral behavior, rituals, and
relationships with the
divine or sacred like
compassion, forgiveness,
humility, charity, reverence
Democratic Values
Democratic values are
the principles that
uphold the ideals of
democracy, such as
political participation,
equality, freedom of
speech, justice, and the
rule of law.
Social Values
Social values refer to the
shared beliefs about what is
considered good and desirable
in a society, influencing
norms, behaviors, and
interactions within a
community.
Scientific Values
Scientific values are
the principles that
guide scientific
inquiry, such as
objectivity, evidence-
based reasoning,
skepticism, and the
pursuit of truth.
Physical Values
Physical values relate to the
importance of physical well-
being, fitness, health, and the
use of one's physical abilities.
This includes values
associated with strength,
endurance, and physical care.
Environmental or Ecological Values
Environmental values are
concerned with the natural
world and the impact of human
actions on the environment.
These values advocate for
sustainability, conservation, and
ecological balance like
sustainability, conservation,
respect for nature, ecological
responsibility.
Political or Civic Values
These values are related to
governance, the role of
individuals in a society, and
the functioning of political
systems. They emphasize
concepts like democracy,
justice, equality, rule of law,
civic responsibility, and
freedom.
Universal Values
These are values that are
recognized across different
cultures and societies. They are
often considered fundamental
principles for harmonious human
existence like Peace, justice,
equality, love, freedom.
