EXPERIENCE
Small Business Manager — MarloMakesAU
SEPTEMBER 2022 - PRESENT
● I have created and own a small business that I run by myself. I always have to make sure
that I manage my time well to get my orders delivered on time.
I also sell my products at markets, such as the Mount Waverley Rotary Market and the Belgrave Big
Dreams Market, which gets me a small income. I have to make sure to always be friendly and
communicate with buyers. It has allowed me to gain customer service skills.
Volunteering — Salvos Forest Hill, Salvos Glen Waverley
JUNE 19 - JUNE 23 2023
● For year 10 Work Experience I had the experience of working at Salvos Forest Hill. There I
worked in the back selecting and pricing items, and also in store and at the register.
This gave me experience of customer service, especially during my time at the register. I
really enjoyed my experience working at Salvos Forest Hill.
MARCH 2024 - FEBRUARY 2025
● I have been volunteering at the Glen Waverley Salvos since March 2024, which has allowed
me to establish my people skills, as I have to help customers. I work sorting out clothes,
uplisting items to our online store, and at the register. Volunteering at Salvos proves
that I am a dedicated worker, as it is unpaid work out of my own time, in which I have to
be punctual and complete my shifts once a week.
Building Assistant - Bellina Construction Group
MAY 2022 - PRESENT
● I have been assisting in my family’s building business for three years. I can take on
tasks and challenges and be independent. I have fantastic hands-on skills, and I have
achieved things such as laying floorboards and making items of furniture.
Backstage crew (sewist), multiple musicals — Mount Waverley Secondary College
2022-2024
● Helping with sewing costumes for my school’s Matilda - The Musical. I had to manage tight
time requirements and use my sewing skills to make attractive and practical garments.
● In Chicago, I sewed costumes for the ensemble. I had a set timeframe and used my time
management skills to get the costumes finished in time.
● I helped out with organising and sewing costumes for my school’s production of Mamma Mia.
I was assigned tasks and had to make sure to complete them on time.
Food Safety and Hygiene — Design, Create and Bake, Secrets of the Kitchen
2022 - 2023
● In year 9 and 10 I have taken part in my school’s offered Food Technology classes. This
means that I have become educated about the food industry. I have taken part in multiple
food safety and hygiene lessons, meaning I am familiar with and practise good safety and
hygiene in the kitchen. I have had lessons about how to follow food safety procedures to
make restaurant-quality food.
