UAN NO ACTIVATION PROCEDURE:

Step1: Visit the below link on Google browser.


https://www.epfindia.gov.in/site_en/index.php
Step 2: Select “Our Services”
Step 3: In the drop-down menu select for employees. On this page, click on ‘Member UAN / Online
Services.’ The page that now opens will take you to the UAN Member portal.
Step 4: On this page, click on ‘Activate your Uan.’ which is located under ‘Important Links’ on the right-
hand side.
Step 5: Enter details as prompted, such as:
• Universal Account Number or Uan
• Your mobile number (this number is your ‘registered mobile number’)
• Your Provident Fund Member ID
• Enter the captcha code and click on ‘Get Authorization Pin’
Step 6: Request for Otp.
Step 7: You will then receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Click on ‘I Agree’ and enter the
OTP as received on your registered mobile number.
Step 8: Finally, click on ‘Validate OTP and Activate UAN’
Which you need to access your UAN account. Further, you are free to change the password, and you can
do this by logging into the UAN member portal.

WITHDRAWAL:
Steps to Apply for EPF Withdrawal Online on EPFO Member portal (Uan portal)
Step 1: Visit the UAN portal.

Step 2: Log in with your UAN and password. Enter the captcha and click on the ‘Sign In’
button.
Step 3: Click on the ‘Manage’ tab and select ‘KYC’ to check whether your KYC details
such as Aadhaar, PAN and bank details are verified or not.
Step 4: Once the KYC details are verified, go to the ‘Online Services’ tab and select the
option ‘Claim (Form-19)’ from the drop-down menu.
Step 5: The following screen will display the member details, KYC details and other
service details. Enter your bank account number and click on ‘Verify’.
Step 6: Click on ‘Yes’ to sign the certificate of the undertaking and then proceed.
Step 7: Now, click on ‘Proceed for Online Claim’.
Step 8: In the claim form, select the claim you require, i.e. full EPF settlement, under
the tab ‘I Want to apply for’. If the member is not eligible for PF withdrawal then
service like PF withdrawal due to the service criteria, that option will not be shown in
the drop-down menu. Date of Exit needs to be updated before applying the PF full
settlement. You can withdraw you PF amount full settlement after 60 working days
from the Date of Exit updated in EPFO portal.
Step 9: Then, select ‘PF withdraw (Form 19)’ to withdraw your fund and the
employee’s address.
Step 10: You are asked to submit scanned Bank Document (name printed cancelled or
passbook). The employee need to update the document as per bank account linked with
EPFO. Click on the certificate and submit your application.

TRANSFER IN & OUT


As you are currently working under the same UAN no. you won’t be able to withdraw
your pf amount, but you can transfer it to your current employer.
Before doing the process, please update your DOE (Date of Exit) on UAN
portal, for that:
This right to mention DOE is only given to employees now by
logging into the employee portal of the EPFO site. Now they must
go through few simple steps which are as follows-
1. Open the site epfindia.gov.in
2. Log into the EMPLOYEE tab.
3. Log in into the MANAGE tab
4. In the last option there will be mark exit date, click into that tab
and update his/her DOE by yourself.
Please note that the Date of Exit of your previous company should be before the
Date of joining of your current company. If you have any doubt regarding your
Date of Exit, then please call us for assistance. Date of Exit once marked in EPFO
portal cannot be changed by the employee himself. So please be careful before
updating the Date of Exit.
Please follow the given steps to transfer request online:
Visit the UAN portal. https://unifiedportalmem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/
Step-1 Login to your EPF account using your UAN and password here
Step-2 Click on the ‘One Member – One EPF Account (Transfer Request)’ option in the
‘Online Services’ section.
Step-3 Carefully verify personal information and the present PF account details.
Step-4 Click on ‘Get Details’ to view PF account details of the previous employment.
Step-5 Choose either your previous employer or present employer for attesting the claim
form depending on the availability of an authorized signatory holding DSC. Choose one of
the employers and provide your Member ID or UAN in the required fields.
Step-6 Click on the ‘Get OTP’ button to receive the OTP to your registered mobile
number. Enter the OTP in the space provided and click on the ‘Submit’ button to
authenticate your identity.
Step-7 Next, an online filled-in PF transfer request form will be generated that needs to
be self-attested and submitted in PDF format to your selected employer. The employer
will also receive an online notification about the EPF transfer request.
Step-8 the employer then approves the PF transfer request digitally. Once the approval is
made, the PF is transferred to the new account with the current employer. A tracking ID
is also generated that can be used to track the application online.

ADVANCE
Step 1- Sign in to the UAN Member Portal with your UAN and Password.
Step 2- From the top menu bar, click on the ‘Online Services’ tab and select
‘Claim (Form-31)’ from the drop-down menu to select the relevant EPF
advance withdrawal form.
Step 3- Member Details will be displayed on the screen. Enter the last 4
digits of your bank account and click on ‘Verify ‘
Step 4- Click on ‘Yes’ to sign the certificate of undertaking and proceed
further.
Step 5- Now click on the ‘Proceed for Online Claim’ option.
Step 6- Select ‘PF Advance (Form 31)’ to withdraw your funds online.
Step 7 – A fresh section of the form will open, wherein you have to select
the ‘Purpose for which advance is required ’, the amount required and the
employee’s address.
Step 8 – You need to upload scanned name printed Cheque or passbook
against your application.
Step 9 – Tick on the certification and submit the Otp received against the
mobile no registered with Aadhar card.
Step 10- Submit the application.
