Adrenalin (epinephrine injection, USP) 1 mg/mL 1:1000

• Adrenaline injection is one of the most commonly used life-saving drugs.
• It is used to treat various life-threatening conditions such as cardiac arrest and anaphylactic shock.
• Adrenaline injection is also known as epinephrine.
• Epinephrine is a hormone that is released by the adrenal glands.
• Epinephrine or adrenaline is used as a medication because it regulates various body functions.
• It increases blood circulation and increases breathing.

Function of Adrenaline
• Increases blood pressure
• Increases heart rate
• Increases air passage in the lungs
• Distributes blood to muscles
• Regulates carbohydrate metabolism

Treatment

Route of Drug
IM (Intramuscular)
This injection is given intramuscularly when anaphylactic shock develops in the patient.
IV (Intravenous)
It is given intravenously in some other conditions like cardiac arrest.

यह संक्रमण किसी बीमारी या अधिक शराब पिने से होती है।

⮚ When this disease Start liver Tissue repair itself it is called first stage of liver cirrhosis. जब यह
बिमारी चालु होती है तब लीवर के ऊत्तक अपने आप ठीक होने लगते है इसे लीवर
सिरोसिस का प्रथम चरण कहते है।
⮚ At third stage of liver cirrhosis liver tissue completely damage and it does not repair itself. लीवर
सिरोसिस के अंतिम चरण में लीवर के ऊत्तक पूर्ण रूप से टूट जाते है तथा यह अपने
आप ठीक नहीं होते।

⮚ Dilution of injection For dilution of hepamerze injection NS normal saline use.

हेपामर्ज इनजेक्शन को मिलाने के लिए नार्मल सलाइन का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है।

1 ampoules 10ml = 490ml NS = 500ml

INFUSOL NS SODIUM CHLORIDE 0.9% wiv INTRAVENOUS INFUSION BP
INTRAVENOUS UTP NS | 500ml.

Dose
In adult 4 ampoules means 40ml injection can be given to the patient. रोजाना मरीज को 40 ml तक
इन्जेक्शन दिया जाता है।

Note:- This injection should be given in 5 hours very slowly

यह मिलाया गया इन्जेक्षन धीरे-धीरे मरीज को देना है तो भी 8 घंटे में |

Dose and quantity
• monocef - 125mg

Regular dose = 1-2 g/day
Children dose = 75-100 mg/kg/day

• Monocef is an antibiotic class injection.

• It contains Ceftriaxone.

Mechanism
• This antibiotic works like a beta-lactam antibiotic.
• Cephalosporin binds with the penicillin binding site and inhibits the synthesis of the bacterial cell
wall.
• Due to this, bacteria are unable to grow and eventually die.

Dose and quantity

• Monocef - 125mg , Monocef - 250mg ,Monocef - 500 mg, Monocef - 1g, Monocef - 2g
Regular dose = 1-2 g/day
Children dose = 75-100 mg/kg/day

Adult Dose for Typhoid Fever

First day: 2g in the morning and 2g in the evening
Second day: 1g in the morning and 1g in the evening
Third day: 1g in the morning and 1g in the evening
• Use this dose for three days and check the infection. If needed, increase the dose for 2 more days.

Typhoid Fever in Children

• Dose = 75 mg/kg for 2 days
• Use this dose for 2 days. If the infection is not recovered, increase by one more day.

PITOCINE INJECTION -

Pitocin injection contains the oxytocin hormone.

• It is mainly used in many gynecological procedures.
• This injection works to stimulate uterine contractions.

• Oxytocin hormones are released by the pituitary gland during labor.
• This hormone also stimulates milk production in the breast ducts.
Function of Oxytocin
• It helps decrease anxiety.
• It reduces stress and promotes a positive mood.
• It helps with normal childbirth.
• It stimulates proper milk production.
• It is important for reproduction.

PITOCINE INJECTION USE

• It is used during labor for normal delivery.
• It controls bleeding after childbirth.
• It is also used for abortion procedures according to the MTP Act (Medical Termination of
Pregnancy Act, 1971).

Important
• This injection is not used for every delivery.
• It is used when uterine contractions are not occurring properly during labor.

Dose
• This injection is given intravenously by the prescription of a gynecologist or an experienced nurse.
• 1 ml of Pitocin injection is mixed with 1000 ml of Normal Saline to prepare the solution.
• This solution should be given at 0.5 milliliters per minute.
• It can be given at 3-6 ml of dilution per hour.

Contraindications (When Not to Use)

• This injection should not be used if the female's first delivery was by C-section.
• It is also not used in cases of malposition (when the baby is not in the normal position).

Vomikind injection
Ondansetron Injection IP [VOMIKIND]
● Vomikind injection is an antiemetic class of medicine.
● This medicine contains ondansetron.
● It is a very popular medicine for the treatment of vomiting and nausea.

Important
● It is available in vials and ampules. The vial contains 10ml and the ampule contains 2ml of
medicine.
● In 1ml solution, there is 2mg of ondansetron drug.
 ● It can be used via IV (intravenous) or IM (intramuscular).

Uses
● Motion sickness
● Nausea & Vomiting
● Morning sickness
● Vomiting in chemotherapy

Mechanism
● In the central nervous system neurons, there are 5-HT3 type serotonin receptors.
● These receptors are responsible for vomiting.
● Ondansetron blocks these receptors, preventing vomiting.

Injection Dilation
● Vomikind injection should be used after dilution.
● NS - Normal saline 5%
● Mannitol 10%
● RL - Ringer's solution
Dose:
● In 1ml injection, 2mg of ondansetron is present.
● 4-8mg (every 8 hours)
● 0.5mg/kg
