About us
Anveshan is the premier annual technology fest organized by
SIT Hyderabad, where innovation meets creativity, and
students from diverse fields come together to showcase their
technical prowess. The word "Anveshan" means "exploration,"
and true to its name, the fest encourages participants to
explore the uncharted territories of technology, science, and
engineering. As this is our first-ever tech fest, Anveshan 2025
holds special significance for SIT Hyderabad. We deeply value
the support and encouragement from our sponsors, partners,
and participants, which will play a pivotal role in shaping this
inaugural edition into a grand success. Together, we aim to lay
the foundation for a tradition of innovation, collaboration, and
excellence.
We aim to nurture innovation and provide a platform for
students to challenge their limits and develop practical
solutions for real-world problems. Anveshan 2025 will feature
a plethora of events, competitions, and workshops that cater
to tech enthusiasts, aspiring entrepreneurs, and anyone
passionate about technology.
ENGINEERING
WEEK
03RD - 07TH
MARCH, 2025
CRICKET
TEAM & MATCH FORMAT
11 players per team (does not include substitutes)
Matches will be 8 -10 overs per side (Number of 0vers
will be decided before the match begins).
Powerplay: Rules regarding Powerplay will be
explained by match umpire before the start of the
game.
In case of a tie, the winner will be decided by a Super
Over.
BOWLING RULES
Only 2 Bowlers can bowl 3 overs.
GENERAL RULES
Umpire’s Decision: All decisions made by the umpire
are final.
Unsporting Conduct: Abusive language, sledging, or
unnecessary aggression will lead to strict action.

FOOTSAL
TEAM & MATCH FORMAT
4-5 players per team (does not include substitutes)
Matches will be 15 Mins long with 2 halves.
In case of a tie, overtime of 3 mins will be played.
In case of another tie the game will be decided with
penalty shootout.

Volleyball
TEAM & MATCH FORMAT
Each team consists of 6 players on the court and 6
rolling substitutes.
Matches will be played in a best-of-3 sets format.
Each set is played to 25 points (15 points in the deciding
set), with a 2-point lead required to win.
Rally scoring system applies (every rally results in a
point)

Game Rules:
Rotation: Players must rotate clockwise after winning a
point on the opponent’s serve.
Service:
Must be made from behind the baseline.
Foot faults result in a loss of serve.
Ball Contact:
A maximum of 3 touches per team before returning the
ball.
No catching, lifting, or pushing the ball.
Net Violations:
No player can touch the net during play.
Crossing the centerline with full foot results in a fault.
Timeouts:
Each team gets 2 timeouts per set (30 seconds each).
Substitutions:
Unlimited rolling substitutions are allowed

Fouls and Disqualification:
Double Contact: A player cannot hit the ball twice
consecutively (except on blocks).
Illegal Touches: Holding, catching, or throwing the ball
results in a fault.
Unruly Behavior: Any disrespect toward referees or
players will lead to immediate disqualification.

DAY 1: BLAZE
ESPORTS (BGMI)
08/03/25, 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Game format:
Mode: Classic Battle Royale
Team Match: Every team for
themselves
Map Selection: Erangel.
Matches will be conducted online
Scoring and
Advancement:
BGMI: Placement + Kill points
determine rankings; top teams wins
Best of 3 will be conducted and the
team with highest points in all 3
rounds will win
General rules:
Once registred no refund will be given
Single Elimination: Top teams will win based on
highest points scored
Players Must Bring Their Own Devices – No devices
will be provided.No Cheating or Hacks: Any player
found using aimbots, wallhacks, or third-party
software will be immediately banned.
No Toxic Behaviour: Verbal abuse, threats, or
unsportsmanlike conduct will lead to penalties or
disqualification.
No Late Check-ins: Players must report 30 minutes
before their match. Late arrivals may be disqualified.
Network & Device Responsibility: Players are
responsible for their own internet connection and
device settings. Any disconnection will not result in a
rematch.
Emulators/PCs/Tablets are BANNED: Only mobile
devices are allowed.
Players are responsible for their own internet
connection.
Restart Conditions:
Matches will not be restarted for individual lag issues
If over 50% of players disconnect due to server
failure, the match will be restarted.
Any team found intentionally abusing restarts will be
disqualified.
Disconnections & Technical
Issues:
If a player disconnects mid-match, the game will
continue without pauses or restarts.
Device overheating, crashes, or network issues are
the player's responsibility.
If a major issue affects multiple players, the
organisers will decide on the best course of action.
Code of Conduct:
Professionalism is expected – Any form of
harassment, offensive language, or disruptive
behaviour leads to penalties.
Players must always follow the instructions of event
staff and referees.
Reporting & Disputes:
Players must report 30 minutes before their match for
setup and briefing. Late arrivals may be disqualified
Any rule violations or disputes must be reported
immediately to the event organisers.
The organizers' decision is final in case of any
conflict.

BLAZE ESPORTS
(VALORANT)

Game format:
Mode: Competitive (5v5)
Rounds: Standard first to 13 rounds
format.
Map Selection: All the current maps
in the competitive pool will be
selected.
Map bans will be decided on spot.
Scoring and
Advancement:
Valorant: Winning team advances; ties
will be resolved via sudden death.
Reporting & Disputes:
Any disputes must be reported to
the tournament admins within 10
minutes after the match ends.
Decisions made by the tournament
officials are final.
General rules:
All participants must be registered before the event
deadline.
Players must use their official Riot ID and in-game
name during the tournament.
·The tournament will follow the latest patch of
Valorant.
Overtime: Standard Valorant overtime rules apply
(two-round advantage to win)
Agent Lock: No agent bans; all unlocked agents are
allowed
Any use of hacks, exploits, or third-party software will
lead to instant disqualification.
Disconnections & Technical
Issues:
If a player disconnects before the first round starts,
the match will be restarted.
If a player disconnects mid-match, they may rejoin,
but the game will not be paused unless it's a server
issue.
Each team is allowed one tactical timeout per map
(60 seconds).
Code of Conduct:
Toxic behaviour, harassment, racism, or hate speech
will lead to disqualification.
Exploiting game bugs/glitches is not allowed.
Stream sniping and external coaching are strictly
forbidden.
College-Provided Systems: All matches will be
played on college-provided systems.
No Personal Setups: Players cannot bring their own
PCs or laptops.
Configuration Time: Limited time will be given before
matches to adjust in-game settings (sensitivity, key
binds, graphics, etc.).
Technical Issues: In case of system failures, event
staff will assess and attempt a quick resolution. If
unresolved, the match will continue per tournament
rules.
Damage Responsibility: Any damage caused to the
provided systems due to negligence, mishandling, or
intentional misuse will be the player's responsibility,
and they may be held liable for repair or replacement
costs.

ALGOSCAPE

Event format:
🔺 Rounds:
Round 1: 15 minutes
Round 2 (Finals): 10 minutes
Teams must report 20 minutes before their slot
starts. Late arrivals may be disqualified.
Time Slots:
10:00 AM
10:30 AM
11:00 AM
11:30 AM
Team formation & Entry:
Each team consists of 5 players.
Entry Fee: ₹50 per player
(₹250 per team).
No team member changes
will be allowed once the
event begins.
Game Progression & Elimination:
8 teams per slot will be locked in 4 rooms.
2 teams per room will compete head-to-head.
The winner of each room will be determined by
how quickly they defeat their opponent.
The two fastest winners from the slot will be
declared as champions.
In case of a tie, the team that took the
least total time across all rounds will be
declared the winner.
If the tie persists, Ddakji will decide
the final fate.
Challenges & Special Rounds:
Each room holds a unique challenge inspired by
Squid Game—some testing strength, intelligence,
and sheer survival instincts.
Ddakji will serve as the elimination round in case of
ties.
Bonus Round: The losing team in the finals
may get one last shot at redemption.
Conduct & Fair Play:
🔺 Rules are absolute.
Cheating, tampering with props, or
violating game rules = immediate
disqualification.
Physical aggression, pushing, or sabotaging other
teams is strictly prohibited.
Players must follow all instructions given by the
Game Masters.
Winning Criteria & Prize:
Two winners per slot will be decided based on the
fastest victories.
₹1000 prize per slot for the winning teams.
In case of a tie, Ddakji will determine the ultimate
fate.
The doors are locked. The clock is ticking.
The only way out is to win.

Team Composition:
Teams of exactly three members.
Pre-event registration is required.
No team member changes after registration.
Equipment Setup:
Participants bring their own laptops and mobile
devices.
Internet is provided (if applicable), or teams are
prepared with the necessary tools.
Product assignment at event start.
Video Creation & AI Usage:
Create a video advertisement for the assigned
product.
AI tools allowed for: Visual enhancements, AI
voiceovers, AI graphics and animations.
Video editing and effects.
Balance AI with creative input.
Video & Presentation Guidelines:
Time limits announced on event day.
Presentation required: video, creative process, AI
tools, and concept explanation.
Advertisement must be engaging, original, and
effective.
Judging Criteria:
Originality.
Effective AI usage.
Presentation skills.
General Rules:
Content created during the event only (no pre-made
content).
Appropriate, ethical content (no offensive, violent, or
misleading material).
Late submissions/failure to present = disqualification.
Judges' decision is final.
