2 Safety Guidelines
The following general guidelines, together with the instructions provided
throughout this guide, ensure user safety while operating and maintaining the
CSIIP CleanStation. If the system is not operated as specified, the
user's safety might be compromised!
• Never operate the cleaning station while the cover is open.
• The power cable should be connected at an easily accessible electric socket.
• Make sure that the power cable does not become taut.
• A VAC ground fault interrupt (RCD) should be used.
• Only operate the cleaning station when wearing protective gloves, safety
goggles and a protective mask.
• Make sure that the room is properly ventilated. The ventilation system should
change the air at least four times every hour.
• Remove parts with the supplied basket or with steel or plastic tongs. Do not
use aluminum tongs to remove parts from the cleaning solution.
• Never move the unit when there is liquid in the tank.
• Placing parts in the tank raises the liquid level. Monitor the liquid level of the
tank to prevent overflowing.
Consult your company safety officer before handling the solution to check if
you need to take additional protective measures.

3 Operating Instructions
Before operating the cleaning station, put on protective gloves, a face mask, and
safety goggles.
This section describes how to set the controller, valves, and switches to operate
the cleaning station.

Important:
Pressing multiple times displays Auto C.M1. Do not change Auto to
any other state.
Warning:
There is no automatic shutoff, so make sure that the water does not overflow.
Warning:
Danger of liquid overflow. When filling the tank, take into account the volume
of the parts and the alkaline cleaning solution you will add to the tank (see
"Preparing an Alkaline Cleaning Solution " on the next page).
If the water level drops below 5 cm (2 inches) from the top of the tank, the unit
will stop working.

Important:
l Before preparing the alkaline cleaning solution, read "Safety Guidelines" on page 4.
l In the following steps, only use chemicals with the indicated CAS number.
Agitation Control can be adjusted to any point between LOW and HIGH. You
can adjust this while the cleaning station is operating, depending on the size,
number of models in the tank, and how delicate they are.

Warning:
Always wear neoprene safety gloves, a mask, and safety goggles when
removing models from the unit.
Warning:
Danger of splashing. Slowly and carefully remove the basket from the tank to
prevent splashing.
Note: You can hang the basket on the inside of the tank cover.
Warning:
Danger of combustion. Never use aluminum tongs to remove printed models
from the CSIIP CleanStation.
2. Rinse the models under running water until they do not feel slippery.
3. Dry the models with paper towels, or allow them to air-dry.

Caution:
Foam is created when you drain the tank. If you are draining into a container,
be careful that it does not overflow.
6. When the solution stops flowing, check that the tank is empty. If it is not
completely empty, see "Emptying Excess Liquid from the Tank" on the next
page.

Warning:
The liquid drains out quickly and you might need to hold the hose to prevent it
from splashing.
Caution:
Running the pump without liquid can result in damage. Do not leave the unit
unattended while draining. Turn the SELECTOR to OFF as soon as the tank is
completely drained.
9. Check that the tank is empty. If it is not, see "Emptying Excess Liquid from
the Tank" below.

3. If there is still excess liquid or residue in the tank, use a spatula to push the
liquid into the filter.
Caution:
Dispose of the liquid and residue according to local regulations.
After emptying the tank, and before refilling it, flush the system with fresh
water (see "Flushing the Cleaning Station" on page 20).

4 Maintenance
Perform maintenance on the CSIIP CleanStation:
• once a year
• if the cleaning quality is low (even if the solution saturation is within
specifications)
• if the filter is blocked
Warning:
For all maintenance procedures, disconnect the power cable from the electrical
socket and wear protective clothing (see "Safety Guidelines" on page 4).
When the cover is removed, it is recommended to clean residue from the area
around the cover.

When you remove the jet plate, the cleaning solution is likely to drip from it. Be
careful that it does not drip on you.

5 Troubleshooting
For all troubleshooting procedures, wear protective clothing (see "Safety
Guidelines" on page 4).
When replacing fuses, always disconnect the cleaning station from the wall
socket and keep the power cable in view, so that it is not accidentally plugged
back in.
