1. Danh từ
Đứng đầu câu làm chủ ngữ. The cat is cute.
Đứng sau động từ làm tân ngữ. I met a man last night.
Đứng sau mạo từ a/ an/the hoặc this/ that/ I have a brother.
these/ those, many/ much/ a lot of. This picture is nice.
Đứng sau tính từ sở hữu. His house is big.
Đứng sau tính từ. He has a big room.
Đứng sau giới từ như in, with, by, on, at. I go to school by bus.
Một số hậu tố (đuôi) thông dụng để nhận biết: -er/-or, -tion, -sion, -ment, -ence/-ance, -
ness, -ity/-ty, ist, -ship.
2. Tính từ
Đứng sau động từ to be. This picture is nice.
Đứng trước danh từ. I have a big bedroom.
Đứng sau động từ liên kết như feel, look, I feel tired.
appear, seem, become, keep, remain.
Đứng sau trạng từ. This exercise is very easy.
make somebody/ something + tính từ He made me sad.
keep somebody/ something + tính từ He always keeps his bedroom tidy.

3. Trạng từ
Đứng trước hoặc sau động từ thường. He runs fast.
He quickly grabbed the bread.
Đứng trước tính từ. He was seriously ill.
Đứng sau các trạng từ chỉ mức độ như very, He works very hard.
quite, rather, pretty, extremely.
Đứng đầu câu để bổ nghĩa cho cả câu. Luckily, everyone was safe.
Cấu tạo của trạng từ: tính từ + ly.
