Even before the decision to open my eyes occured to me, I could feel strokes of angonizing pain
gracing my body. Noises of something cracking could be heard and that’s when I came to the
realisation that I was alive. The sudden sensation that erupted inside me caused my eyes to
flutter open and red was the first thing that greeted me. Scarlet flames filled my vision and I
frantically got up to survey my surroundings. “Wh-where am I?”, I breathed out, and was caught
aback by my own hoarse voice. It was deep and sounded like an utterance that only something
demonic could produce. But I was not granted the luxury to contemplate about the lack of
melody in my voise for the place was starting to collapse and the burning pain intensified. My
vision was beginning to blur with the fogginess accompanied by a train of smoke entering my
nostrils, followed by fits of coughs suffocating me greatly. Panic surged in my veins as I looked
for some sort of exit. Luck embraced me as my eyes eventually landed on an opened door
leading towards what I could assume my entrance towards my remaining life. As I made my way
through the scorching fire, I could finally made out the contents of the room. Scientific
equipment were scattered all over the vicinity and the cracked debris cut my bare feet into a
bloody mess. I gritted my teeth as I endured the suffering as I struggled out of what I could
assume the laboratory. However, to my dismay, the door leading towards my freedom just got
blocked by the insufferable flames of fire that has been tormenting me since I’ve awoken.
Sensing that there’s no more time to spare, I spotted a window and decided to jump out of it. My
strides were evidently heavy as I made my way through the window. With an ounce of whatever
energy left inside me, I threw myself out of the burning laboratory onto the ground outside. My
burnt skin and feet that’s been cut horrendously allured me to a fatal slumber. Even though I
was relunctant to satisfy my pain due to not wanting to welcome death, I knew it’d not be long
before my strength diminishes. But before my eyes closed again, I managed to mutter out one
last sentence, making sure venom decorated every single word, “I’ll find whoever brought this
hell upon me”. (Ellen)
(When the monster regained his consciousness, he had never been this motivated to search for
the scientist that left him this misery.. However, to his dismay, wherever he went, he was
disheartened to see that welcome wasn’t for him. “Get lost!” “Monster!” “Stop cursing and
bringing us pure misfortune!” “You devil! Who could be this wicked to bring life to this demonic
creature?!” was all he heard.)
As I fled from the rejection of everyone around me, I sought solace in the vastness of nature,
traversing fields, swamps, forests, and rugged terrains. I yearned to escape the cruelty of
humanity and its civilizations, all the while driven by the desire to find the person responsible for
my creation, a creator who had condemned me to a life of suffering, a mere pawn in their own
ambitions. As dusk descended, I sought refuge and stumbled upon a small cabin nestled in a
secluded field.Entering cautiously, expecting solitude, I was surprised to find a young woman,
perhaps in her twenties, busy cooking inside the humble abode. Our eyes met, and in that
fleeting moment, I felt an urge to flee, fearing that I had stumbled upon yet another source of
pain. However, my weariness overcame me, and after running tirelessly through fields and
plains all day, I collapsed from exhaustion after venturing about a mile away from the
cabin.Upon awakening, I found myself still within the cabin, bathed in the morning light.
Attempting to rise, I was immediately overwhelmed by the agony of my wounds, rendering me
unable to move. My mind raced with jumbled thoughts, but my heart skipped a beat as the
young woman entered, carrying a bowl of soup. Initially, panic gripped me, but that feeling
swiftly dissipated as I witnessed the innocence in her smile, She gently whispered, “Oh, don't
worry! You're welcome here. Are you alright?. My heart, which had believed the world to be
entirely against me, now realized that was not the case.I weakly replied, “I... I've been running,
trying to escape... everything. I'm exhausted.” With gratitude, I accepted the nourishing bowl of
soup she offered, a simple act of kindness that became the most meaningful meal of my
existence. However, I made the difficult decision to depart from her company. Despite my
disdain for most humans, I refused to let anyone become collateral in my quest for retaliation.I
said “I appreciate your kindness, but I can't stay. It's not safe for you to be around me” I bid her
farewell, and as I turned to leave, she waved back at me, her pure gesture etching a lasting
impression upon my heart.(Aung Nay)
After all this went through, I decided to look for the man who did this to me, and end the curse
once and for all. The search wasn't easy, as my memories were all broken into pieces and the
only thing I remember was the glances of the lab. I kept going back to the old lab again and
again, hoping to find the clues of where the scientist plans were made. And then unexpectedly,
the scientist walked into the lab. I was very surprised to see him here, as there's no reason he
would return to the place he abandoned. Then I realized he must've left something here. As he
was searching for something, I slowly sneaked up behind him, and made an attack. All the
anger and emotions were flowing through my veins, as I screamed " what have you done to me
" I found myself being uncontrollable. I wasn't very happy after I found the scientist laughing
hysterically at me saying " You're way too late ".. Without hesitation, I grabbed the scattered
glass metals beside me, and murdered the scientist. The room was filled with messes and
blood, as I ask myself “ is this the right thing to do “ as now i can’t find the solution from the
scientist anymore bcz of his death. Just like that, the pain, anger and agony has left me to
nothing but a hopeless walking corpse of inevitable. (smithy)
