Topic 4: Life in the past *** 3 traditional games:
Without the invention of the Internet, in the past, children then used to spend their free time outdoors playing interesting games with
their friends such as tug of war, hide and seek or skipping.
To me, these games are not only interesting but also healthy , because playing outside with friends helps me keep fit and develop my
social skills and leadership skills.
I think all people old and young need physical activities to stay in shape and have good health. Especially teenagers, These activities
help them reduce stress and pressure of studying and build well-shaped body.
TOPIC 5: Wonders of VN
1. Name some natural wonders of Viet Nam.
VN is a beautiful country with a lot of both man-made and natural wonders such as HL bay, PN caves, and Cuc Phuong national park.
Among them, the one that attracts me a lot is HL bay. HL bay is the most famous tourist attraction with nearly 2000 islands, caves and
sandy beaches. Once you come here, you can take a boat trip around enjoying magical scenery that nowhere else has. It must be an
unforgetable experience that you have never had before.
2. Do you think we should limit the number of tourists who come to visit these sites? Why?
In my opinion, we should limit the number of tourists coming to these sites every day due to some reasons. First, our service is limited , so
we can’t provide good trips for such number of vitors. Besides, Limiting number of visitors means we can reduce pollution and not put
pressure on supplies.
4. What should we do to protect and preserve our natural wonders?
I think , we shouldn’t build hotels or restaurants too close to the natural wonders that will narrow the beauty of the place.
Moreover, We should raise people’s awareness that protecting wonders means to bring cultural and finacial benefits to ourselves.
TOPIC6: Talk about some changes in your hometown.
1. List different types of traditional and modern transport system in Viet Nam.
=>In the past, travelling from place to place seemed to be difficult to people. They just had bicycles, buffalo-drawn carts, rickshaws
or the had to walk on small earthen roads. But now, things have changes. Life is surely better with taxis, buses, cars or planes that
help people go faster and farther. And they no longer stand in long to buy travelling tickets like in the past.
2. What kind of transport system do you prefer? Why?
=> As a student , I like going by bicycle because of some reasons. Bikes are cheap to buy and cost nothing to use. It is also a good way for
lazy people like to keep fit and stay in shape.
3 Some changes in transport system in your neighbough hood.
In fact , transport system in QN has significantly changed in the past 10 years. Now there are so many private cars on the streets that
sometimes causes traffic jams during rush hours . However, the local authorities have measures to widen many roads , and build new roads to
meet the demand of travelling of increasing population in the place, so traffic in my place is a bit safe and convenient.
TOPIC 2: Talk about the city life
1.Talk about some advantages of living in the city.
=> Living in the city has both good points and bad points.
-There are numerous job opportunities in cities that attract a large number of young people come to live and work there. The living
condition in big cities is a lot more convenient than in the countyside with good education, high-quality healthcare and entertainment such
as good schools, well-equipped hospitals and amusement centers.
However, Citylife has drawbacks . City dwellers suffer from air, noise and water pollution which affects their health a lot.
The lack of supplies water , electricity , schools is another problem.
The most problem, I think , is the lack of accommodation which brings many difficulties to poor people there.
***I think, the government should take actions to limit people from the countryside to the city . Then they should have solutions to improve
the living condition of homeless people. They should also provide employment to these people.
4. Do you like living in the city? Why or why not?
=> I prefer living in the city to living in the countryside . I want to get good education in big and modern schools. I also work with different
types of people and get high salaries.
TOPIC 3 TEEN STRESS AND PRESSURE
1. I’m in grade 9 this year, at school I have so many things to complete with my subjects such as homework, projects, tests , exams that
make me stressed out.
At home my parents have high expectation on me. They want me to pass the entrance to a high school they like.
These days the first-term test is coming. I feel worried and tense.
2. I think I should try my best to overcome my stress by planning a good timetable for study and relax. I also take part in some sports
with my friends.
3. To be successful in study and life in the future, I think we should have some life skills such as reasoning skills, selfcare skills , social
skills and so on.
