ORDER

Sub: Relaxation of the conditions of physical separation for connection


under EV category.

To reduce carbon emission, electric vehicles are the need of the hour. The State
Govt has made Jaipur Discom as State Nodal Agency for developing EV charging
infrastructure throughout the State. Presently installation of EV charging stations is at very
initial stage, the consumers installing EV charging stations in the premises for charging their
electric vehicles which already has an electric connection. Now since, the tariff for EV
charging stations is different from other categories; the consumers can only be benefitted if
they have a separate connection for EV charging stations.

It has been brought to our notice that field officers are insisting on physical
separation as per the provisions of TCOS, 2021 for giving separate connection of EV
charging stations.

To promote the electric vehicles, It is directed that a separate connection for EV


charging stations may be allowed in the premises where there is already another
connection without insisting for physical separation. It should be ensured that two
connections are electrically separated and EV Connection is used for EV charging only.
