Here are some essential Ramadan duas (prayers) to recite

during the holy month:

Pre-Fasting Duas

1. Intention for Fasting: "Wa bisawmi ghadinn nawaiytu min shahri


Ramadan" (‫ضان‬ ُ ‫وم َغ ٍد َن َوي‬
َ ‫ْت ِمنْ َشه ِْر َر َم‬ ِ ‫ص‬َ ‫ ) َو ِب‬Translation: "I intend to fast
tomorrow in the month of Ramadan."

2. Dua before Fasting: "Allahumma asbahna wa anta rabbuna wa


alayka tawakkalna" (‫ْك َت َو َّك ْل َنا‬ َ ‫ )اللَّ ُه َّم َأصْ َبحْ َنا َوَأ ْن‬Translation: "O
َ ‫ت َر ُّب َنا َو َع َلي‬
Allah, we have reached the morning and You are our Lord, and we
rely on You."

During Fasting Duas:

1. Dua during Fasting: "Rabbi ajirni min adhabi jahannam" (‫َربِّ َأ ِجرْ نِي‬
ِ ‫ ) ِمنْ َع َذا‬Translation: "My Lord, save me from the punishment of
‫ب َج َه َّنم‬
Hellfire."

2. Dua for Patience: "Rabbi auzuni alayya sabran" ( َّ‫َربِّ َأ ْو ِزعْ نِي َع َلي‬
‫)صبْرً ا‬
َ Translation: "My Lord, grant me patience."

Breaking Fast Duas:

1. Dua upon Breaking Fast: "Allahumma laka sumtu wa alayka


tawakkaltu wa bika amantu" (‫ت‬ ُ ‫ْك َت َو َّك ْل‬
ُ ‫ت َو ِب َك آ َم ْن‬ َ ‫ت َو َع َلي‬ َ ‫)اللَّ ُه َّم َل‬
ُ ْ‫ك صُم‬
Translation: "O Allah, I have fasted for You, and I have relied on
You, and I have believed in You."

2. Dua for Forgiveness: "Rabbi ighfir li wa tub alayya" ( ْ‫اغ ِفرْ لِي َو ُتب‬
ْ ِّ‫َرب‬
َّ‫)ع َلي‬
َ Translation: "My Lord, forgive me and turn to me."
Night Prayers and Duas:

1. Taraweeh Dua: "Allahumma inni asaluka ridwanaka wa jannah"


(‫ )اللَّ ُه َّم ِإ ِّني َأسْ َألُ َك ِرضْ َوا َن َك َو ْال َج َّنة‬Translation: "O Allah, I ask You for Your
pleasure and Paradise."

2. Qiyam ul-Layl Dua: "Allahumma ajirni min adhabi qabr" (‫اللَّ ُه َّم َأ ِجرْ نِي‬
‫ب ْال َقبْر‬
ِ ‫ ) ِمنْ َع َذا‬Translation: "O Allah, save me from the punishment of
the grave."

Last 10 Nights of Ramadan Duas :

1. Laylat ul-Qadr Dua: "Allahumma innaka afuwwun tuhibbu alafwa


fafu anni" (‫ )اللَّ ُه َّم ِإ َّن َك َعفُ ٌّو ُتحِبُّ ْال َع ْف َو َفاعْ فُ َع ِّني‬Translation: "O Allah, You are
the One who forgives, and You love forgiveness, so forgive me."

2. Dua for Acceptance: "Rabbi taqabbal minni" (‫) َربِّ َت َق َّب ْل ِم ِّني‬
Translation: "My Lord, accept from me." May Allah accept your duas
and grant you a blessed Ramadan!

Here are some additional duas for forgiveness during


Ramadan: Duas from the Quran:

1. "Rabbi ighfir li wa tub alayya innaka anta al-tawwabu al-rahim"


َ ‫اغ ِفرْ لِي َو ُتبْ َع َليَّ ِإ َّن َك َأ ْن‬
(‫ت ال َّتوَّ ابُ الرَّ حِي ُم‬ ْ ِّ‫ ) َرب‬- "My Lord, forgive me and turn
to me. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful."
(Quran 2:128)

2. "Wa qul rabbi ighfir wa irham wa anta khayru al-rahimin" ( ِّ‫َوقُ ْل َرب‬
َ ‫اغ ِفرْ َوارْ َح ْم َوَأ ْن‬
َ ‫ت َخ ْي ُر الرَّ ا ِحم‬
‫ِين‬ ْ ) - "And say, 'My Lord, forgive and have
mercy, and You are the best of those who show mercy.'" (Quran
23:118)

Duas from the Hadith:


1. "Allahumma ighfir li kulla dhambin wa adhhabhu kulla baththin"
ٍ ‫ب َوَأ ْذ ِهبْ َع ِّني ُك َّل َب ْث‬
(‫ث‬ ٍ ‫اغ ِفرْ لِي ُك َّل َذ ْن‬
ْ ‫ )اللَّ ُه َّم‬- "O Allah, forgive me all my sins
and remove from me all my worries." (Hadith)

2. "Rabbi ighfir li wa li walidayya wa lil-mu'minina yawma yaqumu


َ ‫اغ ِفرْ لِي َول َِوالِدَ يَّ َول ِْلمُْؤ ِمن‬
al-hisab" ( ُ‫ِين َي ْو َم َيقُو ُم ْالح َِساب‬ ْ ِّ‫ ) َرب‬- "My Lord, forgive
me and my parents and the believers on the Day when the
reckoning will be established." (Hadith)

Additional Duas:

ْ ‫اللَّ ُه َّم‬
1. "Allahumma ighfir li al-khataaya al-khafiyya wa al-jaliyya" ( ْ‫اغ ِفر‬
‫ )لِي ْال َخ َطا َيا ْال َخ ِف َّي َة َو ْال َجلِ َّي َة‬- "O Allah, forgive me the hidden and apparent
sins."

2. "Rabbi ighfir li wa tub alayya wa adhhibni al-jannah" (‫اغ ِفرْ لِي‬ ْ ِّ‫َرب‬
‫ ) َو ُتبْ َع َليَّ َوَأ ْذ ِه ْبنِي ْال َج َّن َة‬- "My Lord, forgive me and turn to me and admit
me to Paradise." May Allah accept your duas and grant you
forgiveness during this blessed month of Ramadan!

Dua for Forgiveness and Mercy: "Allahumma ighfir li wa tub


َ ‫ك َأ ْن‬
alayya innaka anta al-tawwabu al-rahim" (‫ت‬ ْ ‫اللَّ ُه َّم‬
َ ‫اغ ِفرْ لِي َو ُتبْ َع َليَّ ِإ َّن‬
‫ )ال َّتوَّ ابُ الرَّ حِي ُم‬- "O Allah, forgive me and turn to me. Indeed, You are
the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful."  ·

Dua for Forgiveness of Sins: "Allahumma-ghfir lee thanbee


kullahu, diqqahu wa jillahu, wa ‘awwalahu wa ‘aakhirahu wa
‘alaaniyata hu wa sirrahu" (‫اغ ِفرْ لِي َث ْن ِبي ُكلَّ ُه ِد َّق ُه َو ِجلَّ ُه َوَأوَّ َل ُه َوآخ َِرهُ َو َعاَل ِن َي َت ُه‬
ْ ‫اللَّ ُه َّم‬
ُ‫)وسِ رَّ ه‬
َ - "O Allah, forgive me all my sins, great and small, the first and
the last, those that are apparent and those that are hidden."  ·
Dua for Allah's Mercy: "Allahummaghfir lee wa tub alayya wa
adhhibni al-jannah" (‫اغ ِفرْ لِي َو ُتبْ َع َليَّ َوَأ ْذ ِه ْبنِي ْال َج َّن َة‬
ْ ‫ )اللَّ ُه َّم‬- "O Allah, forgive
me, turn to me, and admit me to Paradise."  ·

Dua for Forgiveness and Guidance: "Rabbana fa-ghfir lana


zunuubana wa-kaffir anna sayyi-aatina wa-tafawwafaa ma al-abrar"
‫َأْل‬
ِ ‫اغ ِفرْ َل َنا ُز ُنو َب َنا َو َك ِّفرْ َع َّنا َس ِّيَئ ا ِت َنا َو َت َو َّف َنا َم َع ا ب َْر‬
(‫ار‬ ْ ‫ ) َر َّب َنا َف‬- "Our Lord! Forgive our
sins, remove from us our misdeeds, and grant that we join the
righteous when we die."  Reciting these duas sincerely and
regularly, especially during Ramadan, can help you seek
forgiveness and mercy from Allah.
