1. Description
The flow table is the patent product combined designed by China Building Material
Science Academy and our company for making flow test to determine the water
consumption of cement mortar in accordance with the GB/T2419.

3. Installation and Adjustment
The flow table must be grounded reliably.
3.1 the flow table should be installed on the concrete foundation with the size of 400
x400 mm and 690 mm in height. Care must be taken that the washer should be
cushioned between the table frame and the foundation (see figure 8). Make sure that
the table surface must be horizontal with the adjustment of the washer.
Verify the flow table with the standard sample (JBW01-1-1).
4. Operation
The preparations of the sample should be in conformity with the regulations of
GB2419 and GB17617.
4.1 check the drop distance with the attached gauge before operation.
4.2 insert the plug into the socket of the counter and turn on the counter.
4.3 make sure to vibrate the table for one cycle if it is not used for 24 hours.
5. Maintenance
The flow table must be cleaned and lubricated with oil after operation. Place the
counter into the box if it is not used for a long period of time. If the counter doesn’t
work, check if the approaching switch is loosened and the gap between the switch and
the cam should be maintained in 1-2 mm,. Adjust the gap, if necessary.

Foundation Sketch
The mortar should be prepared in accordance with the regulations of GB/T17617
(ratio of cement, standard sand and water: 1:3:0.5)
Quickly put the mixed mortar into mould in two layer, the first layer to 2/3 of the
mould height and cross-cut the mortar with a small knife for five times to make it
solid, then uniformly pestle it from edge to center for 15 times. Put in the second layer
of mortar up to 2 cm higher than the mould height and cut and pestle it in the same
way. The second layer is to be pestled to a depth to the surface of the pestled firs
layer. Please refer to Clause 6.3 of GB/T2419
Hold the mould with hand so that it will not move when putting mortar and pestling.
Take off the mould jacket after pestle. Remove the projecting part with a knife and
level the mortar. Lift the mould vertically with care after leveling. Press the start
button to vibrate the table.
Measure the bottom diameter of diffused mortar with a 300 mm range caliper after
vibration. Take the mean value of two diameters which meet at right angles as the
mortar flow value at the amount of water used. The flow value is expressed by mm.
Care must be taken that one cycle of the test should be completed in 6 minutes.
