Teaching of boom functions


The teach mode permists readjustment of the placing boom moving speeds within fixed limits.
The teach mode is initiated from the transmitter of the radio remote control:

- Switch on the machine control


- Select the REMOTE mode
- Activate the radio control unit
- Start the engine and set to maximum speed
- Plug the teach key into its place in the control cabinet and secure with screws

If REMOTE is not the selected mode of operation, the following screen is displayed

Change to remote control to enter the teach mode!!

In the teach mode you can‘t use the concrete pump!!

After switching over to the REMOTE mode, the following screen is displayed

Switch on the control with the Control ON button on the remote-control box

The screen below is then displayed and boom teaching can begin.

In the teach mode, the concrete pump and the auxiliary functions are disabled.
Control of the boom and diesel functions is possible without any restrictions as long as
the adjustment mode has not been activated.

With the switch, the value to be adjusted is preselected.

(Snail = adjust min. value, rabbit = adjust max. value)

To get into the adjustment mode:

Depress the momentary-contact switch on the transmitter and hold.

Select the function to be adjusted by a full movement of the corresponding joystick.


With ramp function control, select step 3 and press the button on the respective joystick.

Release the momentary-contact, but keep joystick deflected resp. the button pressed.

Depending on the value to be readjusted, the following screens are displayed.

Retract cylinder A, MIN – value (snail)

Slew left, MAX – value (rabbit)

Change the value within the predefined limits by depressing the speed control switch
+ = increase value, - = reduce value

As long as the joystick is actuated, the value adjusted is transferred to the boom valve.

Store the new value temporarily by pressing the horn switch

If the joystick is moved back to neutral position before the new value is stored temporarily, the
new value will be rejected.

The display shows which value has been stored temporarily.

If the joystick is deflected without pressing the switch beforehand, the old
resp. the new temporarily stored values are displayed.

As a last step, the temporarily stored values must be stored permanently.


Quit the REMOTE mode: the following screen is displayed.

If programming is terminarted with YES = the


temporarily stored values are permanently stored in the
set of machine parameters and the the teach mode is
terminated.

The system message appears and the mainboard


is restarted.

If programming is terminated with NO = or if no boom function has been changed,


the screen displays the following message:

If the answer is YES = the newly set values will


be replaced by the set of factory parameters.

If the answer is NO = the values last stored are maintained.

Remove the teach connector and restart the control unit.
