Preservation of Echague's cultural legacy.

SHAIRA RAGUAL

The St. Dominic Human Development Center, Inc. is buzzing with creative energy as its
student artists prepare for the Municipality of Echague's highly anticipated cultural heritage
competition. This multifaceted event features two distinct categories: comics and logo design,
showcasing the diverse talents of the participating students.

In the comics category, a dynamic team comprising Vyen Vides, Christopher Jian Sibalon,
Shaira Ragual, and Alissa Calimag are meticulously crafting their entries. Their dedication is evident in
the countless hours spent researching Echague's rich history and culture, translating their findings
into compelling visual narratives. Each panel promises to be a testament to their artistic skill and
historical understanding, breathing life into the stories of their town. The students are working to
capture the essence of Echague's heritage, ensuring their comics are not only visually stunning but
also historically accurate and engaging.

Meanwhile, Sheina Valdez and Nathaniel Quilang are tackling the logo design challenge.
Their task is to create a symbol that encapsulates the spirit of Echague's cultural heritage, a mark
that will be instantly recognizable and evocative. This requires not only artistic flair but also a deep
understanding of design principles and the ability to communicate a complex idea through a concise
visual representation. They are exploring various design concepts, experimenting with different styles
and color palettes to find the perfect representation of Echague's unique identity.

The competition is a significant event for both the students and the Municipality of Echague.
It provides a platform for young artists to showcase their talents, while also promoting awareness
and appreciation for the town's rich cultural heritage. The dedication and hard work of these
students are a testament to their passion for art and their commitment to preserving and celebrating
their cultural roots. The entire St. Dominic community eagerly awaits the results of the competition,
confident that their talented students will make a strong showing. Their efforts represent not only
individual achievement but also a collective contribution to the preservation of Echague's cultural

Ipinagdiwang ng St. Dominic ang Buwan ng Wika: "Filipino: Wikang Mapagpalaya"

CLARIZZE BALOT

Valuing Unity, Solidarity, and Camaraderie in all its forms

ATHEENA LONGCOP

St. Dominic Human Development Center, Inc.'s intramurals were held last September 4-7,
2024. It was a very fun and exciting event, not only for the students but also for the coaches. This
was their opportunity to show off their skills in a variety of sports, including volleyball, basketball,
badminton, chess, and Scrabble.

Additionally, during the event, the parents and students showcased the ability to cook and
teamwork; the Purple Haze came out first. On the third day, the eagerly awaited intramural
pageantry took place. They showcased their sports attire, modeling competence and wit in the
Question & Answer portion. For the male category, Orange Titans won, and for the female category,
Black Phoenix placed first. Every team had a great time at the parlor game that same day, along with
their coaches and teachers. Students also had the opportunity to showcase their dancing abilities at
this event; the Orange Titans won first place in the modern dance competition.

The Black Phoenix brought home the trophy for this year's intramurals. One thing that most
of us undoubtedly recognized after the event is that, in the end, winning isn't always what matters;
it's the thought that we made an effort to win every game despite uncertainties and fears. Despite
losing, each team's efforts were still somehow worthwhile since they had a good time. A lot of
gratitude was given to everyone who helped make it a memorable and successful event.

Pagsasanay para sa Lindol: Isang Mahalagang Hakbang sa Pagpapabuti ng Kahandaan sa
Sakuna

DENIEL CUETO

On February 15, 2025, the streets of Soyung, Echague, and Isabela came alive with an
unforgettable event that brought together students, families, and family members for the annual JS
Promenade Celebration. This year’s gathering, organized by our beloved coordinator, Ms. Renalyn
Pagtama, and Ms. Fernalen Paguyo, was a dazzling reflection of rock, pop, and very much Hollywood-
themed, a special style for students to shine and celebrate their high school journey with friends and
family at large. The JS Promenade is a beloved tradition that takes place at the beginning of the year,
signaling the start of the Junior-Senior (JS) Prom season. It’s a night where elegance meets
exuberance, as the campus transforms into a grand promenade filled with glitz, glamour, and plenty
of excitement.

From the moment the first guests arrived, the air was filled with an electric sense of
anticipation. The school's ground floor was adorned with extravagant decorations—from shimmering
lights to beautiful curtain arrangements; the atmosphere was set to be something out of Hollywood.
Students, dressed in their finest outfits, posed for photos with friends and family. The promenade's
grand entrance boasted a red carpet that made everyone feel like a star, as parents and guests
cheered on the students walking through the event.

While the fun and festivity were the core elements of the celebration, the JS Promenade also
carried a deeper significance. For the juniors and seniors, it was a chance to celebrate the
culmination of years of hard work and personal growth. It symbolized the unity and friendships that
have blossomed during their high school years. For many, it was also a moment of reflection—
looking back at their accomplishments and looking forward to what the future holds. Teachers and
administrators were not only present as chaperones but also as mentors, celebrating the milestones
of their students. It was a moment of pride for the school, reflecting the values of collaboration, hard
work, and creativity that have become central to the school's educational experience.

The JS Promenade Celebration on February 15 was a testament to the power of unity. It was
a night where bonds were strengthened, memories were made, and the students’ high school
journey was honored. For everyone involved, it was an event to cherish—one that will undoubtedly
remain in the hearts of those who participated for years to come. As the students look ahead to their
final year in high school, they leave the promenade knowing that they’ve experienced a truly special
moment and that their school family is there to support them every step of the way.

The success of the JS Promenade not only highlights the school's commitment to fostering a
vibrant and inclusive community but also serves as a reminder of the importance of celebrating
milestones and the people who help us get there.
