Position Overview:
The Associate-level Investment Banker in the Private Equity division
at Goldman Sachs will focus on sourcing, evaluating, and executing
private equity investments while managing client relationships and
contributing to deal strategies. This role demands a mix of analytical
expertise, strategic thinking, and relationship management to drive
business success in a high-pressure environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Private Equity Focused Advisory
Conduct detailed due diligence, advanced financial modelling, and
valuation for potential private equity investments.
Evaluate various capital structures, assess risk-return profiles, and
structure deals to maximize client and company value.
Monitor and manage portfolios, delivering periodic performance
updates and devising strategies for value enhancement.

Build and sustain relationships with institutional clients, fund
managers, and high-net-worth individuals.
Provide clients with investment advice, including identifying
opportunities and recommending exit strategies.

Analyse market trends, industry developments, and competitive
dynamics to uncover lucrative investment opportunities.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with legal, compliance, and asset management teams to

Work alongside Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Capital Markets

Reporting Structure:
The Associate will report directly to the Vice President or Senior
Associate within the Private Equity division. Additionally, they will work
closely with Managing Directors and Partners on deal structuring and
execution while mentoring Analysts within the team.

Work Hours: Long and demanding, often exceeding 80 hours per
week, with tight deadlines and high expectations.
Location: Goldman Sachs Headquarters, New York City, with
possible travel for client meetings and deal negotiations.
