DAY 1:
1.Introduction to SolidWorks and Sketching
Getting Started, Command Manager, Design Tree, Task Pell, Bread Crubs, Units and Dimension Standard, Starting
New Document, Sketching terms, Drawing various geometrical entities, Save & File Extension, Smart Dimensions,
Editing and modifying tools (Trim & Extend, Convert Entities, Offset, Mirror, Pattern, Move Sketch), Adding
dimensions to sketches, Geometrical Constraining
2. Part Modelling
Features: Extruded Boss/ Base & Extruded Cut, Revolved Boss/ Base & Revolved Cut, Fillet, Hole, Pattern, Mirror.
Swept & SW Cut, Loft & Lofted Cut, Boundary Cut, Material Assign, Mass Properties
DRS, Combine Operation, Wrap, Dome, Free Form, Deform, Split Body
Drawing, Library features: Creating Library Feature, Editing the Library Feature, Using Feature in a Part, Dissolving the
Library Feature
DAY 2:
3. Assembly
Insert Components, Mates, Advance Mates, Exploded View
4. Surface Modelling
Extruded Surface, Revolved Surface, Trim, Untrim, Knit, Fillet, Swept, Loft, Fill, Boundary Surface & Planner Surface,
Offset, Project Curve, Extent, Delete Face, Delete Body, Helix, Point, Axis, Split Body, Thicken, Mid-Surface
DAY 3:
5. Simulation-Structural Analysis
Introduction to Simulation, Different types of Simulation, Basics of Finite Element Analysis, FEA Process, 2D Analysis:
Plane Stress, Plane Strain and Axisymmetric Analysis, Analysis of thin walled components (using Shell Elements),
Static Analysis,
Solid Components and their analysis.
