You are encouraged to download and save the Terms and Conditions, Academic
Regulations and course information which are included as pdfs above. Please note that the
Terms and Conditions provide important information about the relevant policies and
procedure and about your right to cancel the contract. Please note the Regulations are
reviewed annually and therefore may be subject to change. The first period during which
you can cancel the contract starts from the date you accepted the offer and expires after
14 days.
Criminal Convictions

not you have any relevant, unspent convictions as per paragraph 6 of the Terms and
Conditions for Taught Awards. You will need to declare whether you have any relevant,

Fees
The fee for your course in the 2024/5 academic year will be £17710. If you choose to
undertake a Professional Placement Year (where available), the fee for that year will be
20% of the full year tuition fee.
The University reserves the right to increase fees for subsequent years of study in line with
increases in inflation based on the Retail Prices Index or to reflect changes in Government

Your Next Step
To accept the offer you are required to:
Log onto the mySRS portal to confirm your acceptance.
Pay the tuition fee deposit payment of £4000 Sterling Sterling for your course in full.

We may ask you to provide a bank statement or other financial documents in order to
assess your compliance with the UKVI financial requirements. For more details please

You may be invited for a pre-CAS interview.
Once we are satisfied that you have met the requirements above we will issue a
Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) letter with your unique reference number, to
be used for visa purposes. CAS's are sent by email to the address you have provided and
may take up to 7 working days to arrive.
If you wish to decline the offer please log on to the mySRS portal to decline and we will
amend our records accordingly.

Immigration Requirements
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the required immigration documents and/or
approvals to commence your course at Birmingham City University.
Birmingham City University reserves the right to withdraw your offer or, if you have already
accepted the offer, cancel the contract with you if you fail to obtain the appropriate
immigration requirements to commence study in the UK.
Funds required for studying in the UK
As part of your visa application, you will be required to show that you can afford to fund
yourself, both for your tuition fee and living expenses, while in the UK. The living expense
is set by the UKVI and as you are studying outside of London it is set at £9,207.
You are required to show the living expenses (maintenance) amount plus any outstanding
tuition fees in your account or your parents’ account for a minimum of 28 consecutive days.
The balance should not go below the required amount at any point during those 28 days
and the money should be retained in the account until after a decision has been made on
the visa application.
Tuberculosis Screening
The Home Office requires migrants from certain countries entering the UK for more than
6 months to undergo screening for active pulmonary tuberculosis. You will require the
certificate in order to apply for visas clearance. For more details about Tuberculosis

Applying for your Student Visa
The UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) has made significant changes to the immigration
rules for international students over the past years. We strongly recommend that that you

It is your responsibility to organise and provide the correct documents for your visa
application. If you do not send the correct documents, your application may be refused. For

You must show that you have enough money to cover your tuition fee and living costs
(including accommodation). For more information about accommodation and living in the
UK, please see Student Visa Finance Guidance. You will need to show that you have held
the required money for a consecutive period of 28-days ending no more than one month
before your visa application.
From time to time, the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) may change its requirements
and/or processes. We will endeavour to inform you if any of these changes affect your offer
and/or your course. However, Birmingham City University has no control over these
requirements and we have no liability to you in relation to the consequences of any such
changes.
Travel to the UK
We recommend that you do not book flights or make any travel arrangements until your
visa has been granted. Birmingham City University has no influence over the UKVI and
cannot determine when your visa will be issued to you. We also have no liability to you in
relation to missed flights due to any delay in the issuance of CAS or visa. Please do not
use the E-gate when you arrive at the border, you must go through an Entry Clearance
Officer.
Accommodation
Students from outside of the UK who have accepted the offer of a place on the course and
apply by 31 August 2024 will be guaranteed accommodation. We cannot guarantee your
first choice accommodation or guarantee single sex accommodation as places are subject
to availability. We will endeavour to accommodate students as close to their place of study
and/or according to the accommodation preferences selected on the Online
Accommodation Application form; however this is dependent upon availability at the time of

Enrolment
When you enrol onto your Course you will be required:
To produce your passport and valid visa issued for Birmingham City University; the
University will take a copy for your student file.
To pay a minimum of 50% of the tuition fee. Please note any scholarship received
will be deducted from your final payment. Details for paying the remaining fees can

You will not be able to enrol and join your course without providing the above,
including paying 50% of your full tuition fee, so please make sure that you have
them.
