Noel: I’ll let you fight Leo. You want to fight him, don’t you?
I can make that happen
Sieg Feinstein: that’s true, I want to fight Leo… it’s about time it’s made clear which of us is truly the
strongest seeker but I have my position as the Sub-Master of the Regalia, Supreme Dragon Corps, to
consider.
Noel: a no holds-barred fight where we could lose our lives won’t be permitted. That’s why I’ll put you in
a position where you will be able to fight without having to worry about the deaths that everyone will
approve of
Sieg Feinstein: How?
Noel: Wild Tempest will climb the ranks and become Regalia in half a year. Clans that Become a Regalia
are bestowed their tittle by the emperor… in other words, I’ll have an audience with his imperial
highness at that time, I’ll propose this to his imperial highness. Holding a fighting tournament that all
seekers would be allowed to enter
Sieg Feinstein: (shock) what did you say!?
Noel: you probably know this already, but a “Valiant” is crossing over into this country. Considering the
people’s anxiety, a grand event is needed to alleviate it. His imperial highness is sure to accept my
proposal and since it’s held in the name of the emperor. Many famous seekers should also wish to
participate in the tournament to show off their skills. Especially, those in the “Regalia”, who will be
fighting the “Valiant” directly.
Sieg Feinstein: I see… I see… I see…! I never thought of anything like that. If the rules forbid the killing of
opponents, then I can fight Leo! What’s more, if it’s a tournament sanctioned by the emperor, no one
would have a problem with me taking part in it
Noel: that’s right. The rules are still being worked out, but I’m planning to make it so that anyone can
win, allowing people of different ranks to fight each other head-on
Sieg Feinstein: but are you sure telling me so much is a good idea? If I eliminate you right here and now,
the idea will become mine, you know?
Noel: you shouldn’t say things you don’t really mean. You’re thinking that it would be faster to exploit
me than organize the tournament yourself. More importantly, can you bring yourself to beg Leo to take
part? (then try to walk away)
Sieg Feinstein: you sure have hit a sore spot. Pride really is a troublesome thing, isn’t it? Very well. I’ll
lend you my name. I’m letting you use my name, so when you become a “Regalia”, be sure to hold the
tournament.
Noel: agreed. I swear it on my grandfather Brandon Stollen’s name
Sieg Feinstein: Noel-kun, I have one question. Between me and Leo, who do you think is stronger?
Noel: you guys are both active EX ranks. In that case, my analysis is that you, the one with more
experience, are the stronger of the two.
Sieg Feinstein: (laughing) kukuku… what a bunch of empty pleasantries. If you ever say such thing again,
I’ll kill you, okay? Someone as skilled in information warfare as you should be well aware. The true
“strongest” is Leo.
Noel: you… if you know that…
Sieg Feinstein: why do I desire a fight with Leo, you ask? It’s obvious. I can’t stand people who are
stronger than me, it’s that simple. (then jump to the air and vanished)
Noel: that side of you… I don’t dislike it.
(in another scene.)
The city walls of the imperial capital have “barriers” built into them and by activating these barriers,
enemy invasions can be thwarted. The city walls are fitted with state of the art technology and as such,
they require periodic maintenance. During maintenance, large numbers of workers are gathered to work
under the supervision of engineers and many of them are volunteers who want to work for the good of
their hometown, it’s the so called “patriotism”
(another scene)
Kouga: (drinking beer) this really hits the spot for my tired body! For crying out loud, Noel’s ideas are
just appaling
Leon POV: (thinking about their conversation between Noel. Where noel said that “I have a job for you.
It’s a job I think you’d like)
Kouga: I want to improve our clan’s reputation, so I want you to do volunteer work. When he said that, I
almost shouted at him. Who the hell does he think ruined our reputation with his reckless behavior!?
Leon: that said. I don’t think it’s a bad plan
(outside the city)
Leon: this may be a slow and steady effort, but getting to know the people of the city who aren’t seekers
in this way will certainly improve the clan’s reputation. If the clan’s reputation improves, it will be harder
for other clans to get in our way. Seekers trying to drag each other down is a common occurrence after
all.
Kouga: he’s brilliant
Leon: he understands very well what it takes to make moves in society.
Kouga: I know he’s brilliant, but I don’t like the fact that the guy himself isn’t participating
Leon: hahaha, it would seem that he has preparations to do on his end too, so…
Kouga: A debate, right? I bet he’s up to his usual dirty tricks again…
Leon: kouga, what made you decide to work for Noel? I heard there was a lot involved but putting aside
Alma… aren’t there many things where you don’t see eye-to-eye with Noel?
Kouga: that’s, well… because that guy is special. I’m confident in my skill with the sword, but a sword is
ultimately nothing more than a sword. To obtain anything of worth in this world. Someone with guts
and a brilliant mind is needed.
Leon: so for the sake of that you’re willing to put up with a few grievances?
Kouga: it’s because I’ve come to terms with it. That’s the most important thing, isn’t it?
Leon: that’s true, you might be right
Villager 1: (approaching them with a put) so this is where you guys have been. The delivery of
construction materials has been delayed, so work has been called off for today. Thanks for helping out
Leon: understood. We’ll be back to help another day then
Villager 1: you two should have some of this too! My wife made these honey-soaked lemons
Another villager: to help out even though you have your job as a seeker, you guys sure are impressive.
How about it? Would you like to go on a match-making date with my daughter?
Other villager (old man): you’re so admirable for someone so young. With you tow, the future of the
imperial capital is secure
Leon: (smiling) when Noel told me he had a job for me… I was afraid of what kind of evil I might be
complicit in though
Kouga: but if it’s a job where people appreciate our work, it doesn’t feel bad at all. Are we done
volunteering for the day?
Leon: no, our work here ended early, but… we still have a promise to help with the children at the
orphanage. I hear they’re in desperate need of help, so let’s head there early. I think it’ll be easier than
repairing the city walls
Kouga: allright! I’m still good to go!!
(at the orphanage)
Leon and kouga: ow, ow, ow. that hurts, that hurts, that hurts
