Semi Micro/Analytical Balance:
Semi Micro/Analytical balances based on electromagnetic force compensation (EMFC) as a principle for
achieving precise and stable weighing measurements.
EMFC is a technology that utilizes electromagnetic fields to counteract the gravitational force exerted on
the object being weighed.
A semi-micro balance with dual-range capability is a highly precise laboratory instrument designed for
measuring masses in the sub-milligram range.
Its "semi-micro" designation indicates its ability to handle extremely small quantities with precision,
while the "dual-range" feature allows it to switch between two measurement ranges for versatility in
weighing a wide range of sample sizes.
Its application spans various scientific fields, including chemistry, biology, pharmaceuticals, and
materials science.
Our Semi Micro/Analytical scale & balance are used for Scientific Investigation or for research Lab.

Min.
Every balance minimum weight is different, depending on Readability (d) and verification scale intervals
(e) with ambient conditions.
The minimum weight must be follow for the accuracy of the instrument. If any sample fall below this
minimum weight, the relative measurement uncertainty becomes greater than the required weighing
accuracy. Consequently, the weighing result cannot be considered reliable.
If a weighing is below the determined acceptable minimum value, the balance may display a load value,
and the weighing results may be subject to an excessive relative error.
The verification of scale interval, number of verification scale interval and the minimum capacity, in
relation to the accuracy class of an instrument
Class I minimum capacity 100e
Class II minimum capacity 20e
Class III minimum capacity 50e
21
19. IDEAL CONDITIONS:
o As this is a dual range balance (0.01mg/0.1mg), Use the balance as per it's Weighing capacity &
application. 5 digits mode is used when there is specific very small quantity of sample to be
measured. 4 digits mode balance for normal & regular use.

exerts a force on the weighing pan, which directly affects semi micro & analytical balance results.
o Plastic and glass weigh containers can hold an electric current. Static charges can result in
nonrepeatable measurements or drifting measurement readings, Use antistatic weighing
containers (metal is ideal), Avoid rubbing containers use a metal dish with an edge to help shield
the electric fields.
o To ensure semi micro & analytical balance static elimination, discharge the sample and container
with an ionizer before weighing.
o Below minimum weight, the relative measurement uncertainty is larger than the required
weighing accuracy, and the weighing result cannot be trusted.
o Test with certified E2 Class weights, if necessary. Weights also need warm up.
o Hot or warm samples should be cooled first upto room temperature. Hygroscopic samples need
to be weighed quickly with the balance doors closed to avoid absorption of moisture. Not
following these steps will affect the measurements.
