1526: Babur,descendant of Timur, defeats Ibrahim Lodi at Battle of Panipat,


founding the Mughal Empire.

1530-1555: Humayun,is crowned but is defeated by Sher-Shah-Suri and fleeds.Later,


Humayun returns and reestablished Mughals.

1556-1594: Akbar, begins a period of significant expansion and religious unity .The
'Sull-i-kul' is establisted . He also Capitalizes Fatehpur Sikri.

1598-1605: Jahangir, continues Akbar's policies of religious unity, though not as


prominentaly.

1628: Shah Jahan, is known for his patronage of the arts and architecture.And also
famously for the One-of-a-kind Taj Mahal

1642-1707: Aurangzeb, defeats his brothers in a civil war to became to


King ,deposing his father, Shah Jahan.
Imposing the Jizya taxes along with the rebellions fuelled the fire of ditrubution
of the empire

And thus this Empire of cutural diversites comes to an END.
