Emergency!
It struck at 9pm. Half dangling by the bridge was the car, a taxi that was bright orange Mclaren.
The driver was unconscious in the driver seat while the passenger had fainted. People were
screaming, “Someone, call the emergency service. EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY!” I stood
there frozen with sweat. If I had boarded that taxi, I would have probably nearly died. The sirens
of the police cars wailed.
It all started when I was running late for my appointment with my local doctor. I had no time to
catch the bus, so I sprinted to catch an express taxi. When I saw my ride I was delighted, until a
stranger pushed past me and took my ride. I tried to complain to the taxi driver, but the driver
had already taken off towards the bridge. Then, disaster struck. A driver beeped their horn
unexpectedly causing the driver to swerve off the bridge.
The ambulance and the police came. The police taped off the accident scene and a tow truck
arrived. The tow truck tried pulling the car, but it was no use. It was going to fall down into the
ocean. Suddenly, I thought of an idea. I sprinted towards the police and told them my intelligent
plan. “We could let them fall and rescue them from beneath!” I exclaimed. The police tried
calling the water emergency services, but they were all busy due to the horrendous cyclone on
the North-Eastern Coast Of Australia. There was no hope. The car then slipped into the deep
water. The people were yelling, “Save them! Save Them!” Suddenly, a boat was active. THe
boatmen hurriedly came to the site where the people had dropped. Two of the men jumped into
the ocean and swam to find the lost survivors. Once they had reached the surface, everybody
knew that they were victorious since they could see the lost survivors.
Due to nearly drowning, the driver and the passenger had to be treated in hospital. I was
frightened by the situation itself. I had never known that if I had boarded that taxi before the
stranger, then I probably wouldn’t survive.
