NOW THAT YOU ARE BORN AGAIN.
Therefore as by the offence of one, judgement came upon all men to condemnation; even so the

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE BORN AGAIN?
But as many as have received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those
who believe in His name: who are born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of
man, but of the will of God. (John 1:12-13)
Being born again means that you are born from above; you are born of God. You have been
delivered from the power of darkness and have the nature and life of God because He is your
father. Christ lives in you and you live in Him.
WHY IS IT NECESSARY TO BE BORN AGAIN?
Jesus answered and said to him; “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he
cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is
old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, Most
assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom
of God. (John 3:3-5)NKJV
Man by nature is sinful, corruptible, weak and alienated (ungodly) from the life of God. As a result,
he is completely under the power and authority of darkness and his only hope of deliverance is
Jesus Christ. If you are not born again, you cannot see, experience, enjoy and enter the realm of
God. Because of this, Jesus said in John 3:7,You must be born again.
WHAT HAPPENS TO ME WHEN I BECOME BORN AGAIN?
But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. ( 1 Corinthians 6:17)NKJV
When you become born again, you become one spirit with the Lord Jesus. You receive the life and
nature of God. Darkness and the forces of the enemy no longer have dominion over you are a
partaker of the divine nature ( 2 peter 1:4).
You can enjoy fellowship with the father and the son.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; Behold, all
things are new. And all things are of God….. ( 2 Corinthians 5:17-18)NKJV
You are a new creature in Christ. Your last has been erased or deleted and God has no record of
it.
Everything about you is of God; your thoughts are of God, your righteousness is of God, your
prayers are of God and your destiny is of God.
You belong to God and He belongs to you. You don’t walk alone but in Him you live, move and
have your own being (Acts 17:28). Hallelujah!!! Praise God!!!
WHAT NEXT?
As new born babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that they may grow thereby. ( 1 Peter
2:2)KJV
…… give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. ( 1 Timothy 4:15)KJV
Now that you are born again, it is important that you grow in the understanding of the things of
God. It is God’s desire that you grow into Christ in all things (Ephesians 4:15).
Here are few things you should do in this new life;
1.The word of God; Study the word diligently and passionately. Allow the Holy Spirit to teach you
and reveal to you the truths of the scriptures.
2.The principle of constant fellowship: In Hebrews 10:25, God admonishes us to never neglect the
habit of gathering together. Identify a church that teaches scriptures in the truth and be planted
there. When you are planted in the house of the Lord, you flourish in His courts. ( Psalms 92:13)
3.Submission to spiritual authority: it is very important that as led by God, you submit your life to a
spiritual authority. This man or Woman of God you can trust and whom you can allow to teach and
mentor you. Such a person accounts to God for your life and helps you grow in the things of God. (
Hebrews 13:17)

Saviour.
I join with the heavens in celebration and welcome you to the great family of Christ. As you take
this journey, rest in the quite assurance that it is God at work. He has begun a perfect work in you
and will bring it to completion.
God is the author and finisher of your faith. Your wisdom, your righteousness, your wellspring of
knowledge and understanding, your wealth and inheritance and ever present help in time of need.
This life of salvation is an easy road and you ought to make the choice to enjoy it everyday. I
believe that with joy, you will continually draw from it’s wells. (Isaiah 12:3)
