NOTE: We use the Scrum strategy for agile software development, which groups software developers into
teams to achieve a common goal: delivering a market-ready product. Scrum software development begins with a
wish list of features (known as the product backlog), and it employs the concept of sprints, which are time
intervals during which software development is completed. To complete an item from the backlog, a sprint
normally lasts one week to one month. Sprints continue until the project deadline or budget has been spent.
Teams gather daily scrums to discuss their progress since the previous meeting and to establish plans for the
following day.

How an organisation could benefit: I am connected to an efficient network consisting of a group of people
(around India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, USA, UK & some European countries) who have got excellent expertise in
developing any kind of robust systems including ERP such as web-based, mobile applications, cloud-based, web
development etc. Therefore, when undertaking an IT based project I am able to convince the experts or
developers towards reducing at least 30~40% of the production cost which is HUGE I believe! I can also provide
services related to outsourcing.
Note that we hosted an International Contest on Programming & Systems development (ICPSD’14), one of the
BIGGEST contests in ASIA. The contest aimed to unite tomorrow’s young engineers, researchers, systems
analysts & Designers at a common platform and inspire them towards building overall supportable Information
systems. I was the General chair of ICPSD’14.

Mathematical background
I have got a sound mathematical background through my “A” level, B.Sc. engineering, M.Sc. technology and
PhD courses. Some of the mathematical backgrounds include:
Differential Calculus and Integral Calculus, Statics and Dynamics (Mechanics), Co-ordinate Geometry and
Ordinary Differential Equations, Vector Analysis and Differential equations (special type), Statistics and Partial
Differential equations, Matrices and Determinants, Trigonometry, Algebra, Fourier Analysis, Laplace transform,
Harmonic function, Complex variables, Set theory, Fractal mathematics, Monte Carlo methods, Stochastic
calculus, Time series analysis, Series: Binomial, Logarithmic, Exponential, Taylor, McLaurine, Cauchy,
Cauchy-Riemann etc.
Teaching Mathematics
During 2003-2005, as a Cover Supervisor or Maths teacher I taught at about 16/17 different Schools in London.
In most cases I used to teach A/AS – level Maths and sometimes GCSE Maths as well. I used to work for ITN
teachers ltd., Hays Education and Capita education.
Professional Development
1. In October 2007, I completed my PhD degree in Computing and Communications Technology from
NEWI, university of Wales. My research area (in PhD) is “Estimating Long-range dependent self-
similar Network traffic: performance evaluation and control”. The research area is mainly based on the
theory of computing, simulation and designing algorithm and implementation. I have developed the
following methods/algorithms which can contribute to improving the quality of service of network (e.g.
Internet).
o A mathematical model/method [HEAF(2)] which estimates the Hurst parameter. Note that Hurst
parameter signifies the intensity of long-range dependent network traffic. The proposed method
can be used to evaluate the performance of real-time network traffic.
o An algorithm, known as CoLoRaDe, to control the self-similar network traffic.
o Approximately unbiased version of HEAF and FARIMA (time series) based Hurst parameter.
o An algorithm, known as BPTraSha, which can control the network traffic by shaping the bursty
nature of packet traffic.
o I proposed several analytical methods which can be used to characterise the network traffic
behaviour.
Note that the long-range dependence phenomena are observed and studied in various fields of research,
namely in economics, finance, the stock market, oil price, hydrology, climatology, cardiology, ecology,
soil science and telecommunications. Therefore, HEAF(2) can be used in these areas of research. It has
been proved that HEAF(2) yields quick, reliable and robust estimation process, and also outperforms
other existing estimators such as Rescaled-range (R/S) analysis, Variance-time (V/T) analysis, Higuchi
and Wavelet-based methods.
2. I had joined several conferences to present my published research papers and to chair some sessions.
