The Package

EXT. - WAREHOUSE PARKING LOT
A Car is Seen driving down the road before pulling into the
parking lot of a warehouse. There are three men in the car,
Joe, George, and Eddie. All three of the men get out of the
car and walk towards the trunk. Joe opens the trunk and looks
at a briefcase. Joe opens the briefcase that is in the trunk.
JOE
Now that is beautiful right there.

Joe closes the briefcase then grabs the briefcase and walks
into the warehouse along with the two other men.

INT. - WAREHOUSE
They walk in and are greeted by three other men, Harry, Dean,
Steve.
HARRY
About time you three showed up.
HARRY (CONT'D)
I'm guessing you have the package.
JOE
I wouldn't be here if I didn't.
HARRY
Okay good, now you toss over that
case, and we'll get you paid, and
we can all be on our way.
JOE
Who said I was handing you the case
first?
HARRY
Well, why wouldn't you? That's how
negotiations like this work.
JOE
What's Stopping you from killing me
and my men right here and keeping
the money and the case?
HARRY
Well, I could've done that, Sure as
hell would've been easier.

JOE
So why Didn't you?
HARRY
It would cause a lot of problems
for my boss.
HARRY (CONT'D)
Now just hand over the briefcase
and let's get this over with for
the love of God.
JOE
I'd Appreciate it if you would just
hand the money over first, then we
can it over with.
HARRY
(Yelling)
LAST TIME I CHECKED, YOU WEREN'T
THE ONE IN CONTROL HERE!
GEORGE
Are we going to have a problem
here?
George subtly opens his suit jacket revealing a holster with
a gun in it. Joe sees the gun in George's holster and gets
nervous.
HARRY
If you wanna play dirty, then let's
play dirty.
Harry pulls the gun out of his holster and points it at Joe.
George pulls the gun out of his holster and points it at
Harry. Everyone else pulls out their guns and points them at
each other.
JOE
(Yelling)
YOU DOG! IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE
LIKE THIS!
HARRY
(Yelling)
WELL, YOU MADE IT LIKE THIS!
HARRY (CONT'D)
HAND OVER THAT GOD DAMN CASE!

JOE
(Yelling)
I ALREADY TOLD YOU HOW THIS WAS
GONNA GO! YOU ARE GONNA HAND OVER
THAT MONEY FIRST AND IM GONNA GIVE
YOU THE CASE!

BEGIN FLASHBACK - AN HOUR EARLIER

INT. - RESTAURANT
Joe, George, and Eddie are sitting at a table in the
restaurant eating their food.
JOE
Alright listen fellas, now this is
an important deal for us. Now we've
been tasked to Deliver this package
and to not screw it up or get
killed in the process.
JOE (CONT'D)
Now if by some coincidence the deal
goes wrong, but we get away with no
package or money, Boss ain't gonna
be so happy and we're screwed
either way.
EDDIE
What's so scary about boss? He
seems like just some ordinary guy.

Joe laughs at Eddie's statement

JOE
You're the new guy, right?
EDDIE
Correct.
JOE
What's your name, kid?
EDDIE
Eddie, sir.
JOE
Well Eddie, The Boss ain't someone
you wanna got on the bad side with.

EDDIE
How So?
JOE
Let's just say he "gets rid of
problems" and if we cause him a
problem, He'll get rid of us if you
get what I mean.
EDDIE
I see what you mean.
JOE
My previous colleague, Brett tried
to Double cross him. Got his ass
thrown out of a 3-story window.
EDDIE
Oh God.
JOE
Kid is paralyzed from the neck
down. I guess that's what you get
for trying to be a snake.
EDDIE
That is true.
The Waitress passes by their table. Joe taps her and asks her
something.
JOE
Excuse me ma'am, but could we get
the check please?

EXT. - RESTAURANT
The Men Walk out of the restaurant before walking over to and
getting into their car.

INT. - CAR
The Men get into the car and drive off. Joe tells them
something while driving.
JOE
Alright We Gotta make a quick stop
at this Pawn Shop to grab the
package, Be Cool.

EXT. - PAWN SHOP

The Car is shown pulling into the parking lot of the Pawn
Shop. The Men get out of the car and walk into the Pawn Shop.

INT. - PAWN SHOP

Eddie and George stand back while Joe talks to the Pawn Shop
Owner, Vinnie. Vinnie and Joe know each other.
JOE
Vinnie! My man!
VINNIE
Joey! How ya doin!
JOE
I've been doing alright Vinnie,
What about yourself?
VINNIE
I'm doing alright too; Today has
been fairly slow I just wish It
would end already.
JOE
Vinnie always speaking the truth.
VINNIE
Always, so anyways what can I do
for you joe?
JOE
My boss has been expecting a
package, and we need that package,
I've been told to come here and
pick it up.
VINNIE
The Briefcase, right?
JOE
Yea the Briefcase.
VINNIE
It should be in the back, give me a
second to get it.
Vinnie walks away from the counter and into the back to grab
the Briefcase. Vinnie Grabs the Briefcase and brings it to
the counter.

VINNIE (CONT'D)
This is it right?
JOE
Yep, that's the one.
Vinnie slides the briefcase over to Joe. Joe Grabs the
Briefcase
VINNIE
It was nice seeing you Joe.
JOE
It was nice seeing you too Vinnie.
Joe and the other men walk off with the briefcase.

EXT. - PAWN SHOP

The Men Walk out of the Pawn Shop and walk over to the car.
Joe puts the Briefcase in the trunk while Eddie and George
get in the car. Joe closes the trunk and the flashback ends.

END FLASHBACK
The Men are still in a stand-off in the warehouse.
EDDIE
(Yelling)
JOE JUST GIVE HIM THE PACKAGE!
JOE
(Yelling)
IM NOT GONNA GIVE IN!
EDDIE
(Yelling)
QUIT BEING SO STUBBORN BEFORE YOU
GET US KILLED!
HARRY
(Yelling)
WHAT IF I SENT ONE OF MY GUYS OVER
THERE TO GRAB IT?
Joe Starts to consider Harry's other option.
JOE
(Anxiously)
Okay, Let's do it

JOE (CONT'D)
Send one of your guy's here, I'll
hand him the package and he hands
me the money.
Harry hands the briefcase full of money to Dean
HARRY
Dean, Go bring him this money
Harry mutters something under his breath
HARRY (CONT'D)
Prick.
Dean walks over slowly to Joe with the briefcase full of
money in his hand. He approaches Joe and hands him the
briefcase of Money. Joe grabs dean and puts him into a
headlock before putting his gun to Dean's head.
EDDIE
(Yelling)
JOE WHAT THE HELL IS A MATTER WITH
YOU!
EDDIE (CONT'D)
(Yelling)
HE WAS HANDING YOU THE MONEY!
JOE
Walk away Gentlemen, or this man
dies.
HARRY
(Yelling)
THAT WASN'T THE DEAL!
JOE
Just walk away.
HARRY
(Yelling)
NO! IM NOT GONNA LET THAT MAN DIE
BECAUSE YOU WANNA BE SELFISH!
JOE
(Yelling)
WALK AWAY OR THE WALL WILL BE
PAINTED WITH HIS BRAINS!

BEGIN FLASHBACK - 30 MINUTES EARLIER

 8.

EXT. - WAREHOUSE
Steve is seen calling someone outside behind the warehouse.
He is nervous as he does not want someone to catch him. The
Person he is calling is the chief of police.
STEVE
The Deal should be happening in 30
minutes.
POLICE CHIEF
Good, we're going to need you to
stall for those 30 minutes while we
can finish this warrant.
STEVE
Alright, talk later chief.
Steve Hands up the phone and walks back inside the warehouse.

FLASHBACK ENDS
We cut back to the men in the standoff. Police sirens are
heard in the background before getting progressively louder.
Harry notices the sirens getting louder outside.
HARRY
Are those sirens?
The Rest of the men start to notice the sirens.
JOE
(Yelling)
WHO BROUGHT THE DAMN COPS!
JOE (CONT'D)
ONE OF YOU IS A RAT!
HARRY
(Yelling)
IT WASN'T ME!
JOE
(Yelling)
BULLSHIT!
JOE (CONT'D)
THIS GIVES ME EVEN MORE OF A BETTER
REASON TO KILL YOU!

HARRY
(Yelling)
WHAT IF IT WAS ONE OF YOUR GUYS WHO
SOLD YOU OUT, EVER THOUGHT OF THAT!
Joe starts to consider what Harry is saying. Joe looks at
Eddie and gives him a disgusting look.
JOE
Kid Tell me it wasn't you, please.
EDDIE
(Nervous)
I swear It wasn't me.
JOE
How do I know it wasn't you?
Joe lifts his gun off Dean's head and points it at Eddie.
EDDIE
(Yelling)
JOE, I SWEAR!
STEVE
He's right It wasn't him, it was
me.
All the men look at Steve. Then Joe looks at Harry
JOE
(Yelling)
SO, YOU BROUGHT THE RAT HERE!
STEVE
The Police on their way, Put your
weapons down.
Joe looks back at Steve and Points his gun at Steve. Joe
stares at Steve Intensively as the sirens get louder. Joe
starts to breakdown crying as the Sirens get louder realizing
he's about to either go to jail or die. The Screen cuts to
black as gunshots go off.
