Tournament Structure
Step 1: Group Stage (Round Robin)
Each bracket has 8 teams. In a round-robin format, each team will play every
other team in their bracket once. So, each team plays 7 games within its
group.
Brackets:
Bracket A: Teams 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
Bracket B: Teams 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16
Each bracket's round-robin stage will have the following pairings:
Round 1: 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, 5 vs 6, 7 vs 8
Round 2: 1 vs 3, 2 vs 4, 5 vs 7, 6 vs 8
Round 3: 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3, 5 vs 8, 6 vs 7
Round 4: 1 vs 5, 2 vs 6, 3 vs 7, 4 vs 8
Round 5: 1 vs 6, 2 vs 5, 3 vs 8, 4 vs 7
Round 6: 1 vs 7, 2 vs 8, 3 vs 5, 4 vs 6
Round 7: 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5
At the end of the round-robin stage, rank the teams within each bracket
based on:
Wins
Head-to-head
Points difference
Step 2: Knockout Stage (Finals)
The top 4 teams from each bracket advance to the knockout stage. These 8
teams will compete in a single-elimination format.
Quarterfinals:
1st Place Bracket A vs 4th Place Bracket B
2nd Place Bracket A vs 3rd Place Bracket B
1st Place Bracket B vs 4th Place Bracket A
2nd Place Bracket B vs 3rd Place Bracket A
Semifinals:
Winner of Quarterfinal 1 vs Winner of Quarterfinal 3
Winner of Quarterfinal 2 vs Winner of Quarterfinal 4
Finals:
Semifinal 1 Winner vs Semifinal 2 Winner
