Laptop Connection Guide
Before turning on your laptop, click the appropriate link below and
follow the instructions to set up your new laptop successfully.

For New Employees only
Prepare to Onboard!

1. Contact your hiring manager to obtain your Single Sign-On (SSO) login and password.
2. Join Oracle’s New Employee Orientation on the scheduled day and time as
communicated in the invite sent to your personal email used to accept your offer.
To successfully setup your laptop, you will need:
• Access to the internet
• A mobile device
• Your Oracle SSO from your manager
Set up your laptop

Plug in your power adapter to charge your battery during setup.
Turn your laptop on and connect to the internet.
• From home, connect to personal internet/Wi-Fi network.
• From within an Oracle office:
• For Windows: Setup requires a wired network connection.
• For Mac: Setup requires a wireless connection – use ‘clear-onboard’.
• Cerner office – use guest-internet
3. Follow these instructions: Mac | Windows
4. Once complete, proceed with 3-Set up your mobile device for 2FA.
TIPS:
• Workspace One “Email or Server Address” field requires your SSO (e.g.,
firstname.lastname@oracle.com)
• For Windows: Workspace One Ownership choose “Corporate Owned” and for Type =
”Dedicated”
• Laptop Password requires minimum 8 characters, uppercase, lowercase and numbers.
• Laptop Password cannot be the same as the username or any part of it, and cannot be
commonly used combinations like guest3, welcome1, password5, Oracle1.
3 Set up your mobile device for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
This step is required to access parts of the Oracle network with SSO and access VPN
1. Contact your manager and share your mobile phone number.
2. Direct your manager to follow these instructions to register your mobile phone number to
accept SMS texts to access your Oracle email for the first time.
3. Use these instructions when prompted to set up Oracle Mobile Authenticator (OMA), which
will be required to access some Oracle websites and applications.

Access your Oracle email to retrieve Network Access Account
4 1. Access your email at outlook.office.com (requires SSO login and 2FA).
2. Login with your SSO username and password provided by your manager.
3. Allow or Install and enroll in OMA Push notifications.
4. Locate email titled ‘Network Access Account (includes VPN access)’ and note your
username and password. Review Find Assistance if you are unable to locate the email.
Connect to the Oracle Network
5 If outside an Oracle office:
1. Launch Cisco Secure Client.
If in an Oracle office:
1. Connect to ‘clear-corporate’ Wi-Fi.
If the server address is blank, add myaccess.oraclevpn.com.
2. Click Connect. 2. Login with VPN username and

Complete your onboarding tasks
6 Connect to the Oracle Network and complete your onboarding for your 1st day, week and month
tasks by going to my.oracle.com > Self-Service Applications > Journeys.
TIP: You must login using your Oracle email address to access your onboarding tasks.

• Connect to the Internet if outside an Oracle office (i.e., home, café, etc.).
From within an Oracle Office:
For Windows: Setup requires a wired network connection.
For Mac: Setup requires a wireless connection – please use the ‘clear-onboard’ network.
