INTRODUCTION
By the internet, you can present a positive image of your company, show your
difference from your competitors and offer better service to your customers. You
have the choice between adapting or staying behind.
Whatever your sector of activity, customers and potential customers use the internet
today to find information, communicate, exchange...
It's up to you to be present in the right place, at the right time and with the right
message. We will see how to properly use tools on the internet to achieve this.

1
I. ATTRACT VISITORS
For the internet to be useful to your business, your customers must first find your
company's website. You have several tools at your disposal for this:
1) Google, the gateway to the internet
−The essential Google
The most visited site in France today is Google. Every month more than 40 million French
people use it to access the sites that interest them and find the right information. Google is
used in all areas of activity.
−Your proximity is an asset on Google
Google favors small business sites in its results that are close to the person doing the search.

2) Be relevant to your customers

−Put yourself in your customers’ shoes
Being present where they expect you is what is important. What words and phrases
are your customers looking for on the internet? We call these expressions
“keywords”. The keywords that your customers will search for are the ones that
should appear on the pages of your website.
−The three factors of keyword choice
Your site is only useful if your customers find it. To be found by the greatest number
of customers, the choice of keywords must take into account the competition to
arrive on the first page of search results, in addition to their relevance to your activity
and the volume of searches on the keyword. .

3) On the internet, content is king

−Your content extends your service
It is important that your presence on the internet reflects your expertise, whatever it
may be. You must ensure that your customers come to your site to find answers to
their questions and solutions to their information requests.
−Your customers find you by the content
Whether through search engines, social media or any website, your content will
allow your customers to find you. To have good content, it is important to be
interesting for your customers, to be useful by extending your service and to be
regular in its publication.

4) Be generous, the internet will smile at you

Through all the content you create and make available to them, you show your
customers that you can help them. It not only allows you to engage in conversation
with these customers and attract them by getting people talking about you. You
make life easier for them through a service that is free for them and inexpensive for
you and you take a step ahead of your competitors by creating a relationship with
your customer.

5) Social media: New door to the internet
−Facebook, internet giant
Facebook is the 2nd most visited site in France in 2018, behind Google. Social
networks are a real medium, a source of information and also a space for expression.
Your small business can interact with your customers even on social networks.
−Join the conversation
Get started and dare to contact people, discuss and respond when you have
something interesting to say. Your use of social networks should be Honesty,
Openness and Lack of promotion.

II. CONVERT YOUR VISITORS INTO CUSTOMERS

Once on your site, you have to get your customers or future customers to act so that
they get closer to you. To do this, you have to offer them interesting actions and
make sure to establish a contact, the start of an exchange that can lead to a sale.
1) Incite to action
−Your site must convert your visitors
You need a site but not just any site. Your site must convince your customer to go
further, to contact you for example so that you can serve them better.
−Offer something of value
You have to offer the customer on your site something of value that helps them solve
their problem.

2) Your home pages

−Each page must propose an action
Your site has several audiences, all your customers do not have the same needs. Each
audience must easily find a page on your site on which they recognize themselves.
On each of these pages it is necessary to propose a relevant action to the customer
Concerned.
−Design each page around a message
.Your site must be made up of pages that encourage action and each page is built
around an audience, an action, a message. Once the action button is clicked, make
sure that the proposed page presents a coherent message and a clear proposal so
that your visitors feel confident and leave you personal information.

3) Take care of your prospects and customers

You have to think carefully about the communications you can make to them. You
can set up a series of emails that allows your prospect to get closer to you and the
purchase, step by step, and your customer to have better service. Email is a great
tool for developing and maintaining your relationship with a customer or prospect.

III. HOLD ON AND MEASURE
Once you have everything in place, for your customers to find you and get closer to
you, you must evaluate the work done, in order to improve it, and also be patient.

1) Measure your progress

Communication operations on the internet are measured at 100%. There are several
key elements to measure such as the number of visitors to your site, the origin of
visitors to your site, your position in search engines, the actions carried out on your
site, the origin of visitors who carried out these actions and the actions that lead to a
sale. When you communicate on the internet, it is important to define the
measurement elements that will allow you to analyze the results of your
communication.

2) Patience and tenacity

Trust, recognition and notoriety are slow to establish. Internet users may need time
to choose, to decide. Your communication on the internet as elsewhere must be
stable, coherent, understandable, permanent and adapted.
It is a long-term work that will allow your company to establish its notoriety on the
internet and build an effective tool to sell and improve your service. Along the way,
you have to persevere and measure to move in the right direction.
