Premise
In this Solo RPG you take the role of a lineage of chroniclers of a waning
civilization on a lost planet. Once your people explored and colonized the
stars, making wonders both technologically and societally. But many
generations passed since the contact with this spacefaring civilization
were severed. Your planet is like an island, you know nothing about the
external space. For what you know you might be the last humans in the
entire universe. There is no sentient life out there. You now face the
inevitable fading, the last glimpses of your people.

Core Mechanics
Each turn represents a generation passing, marked by:

1. Rolling on a d66 table to determine major events.

2. Drawing a card from a standard deck for additional thematic
prompts.
3. Recording the chronicle—interpreting events through the eyes
of the Chronicler.
Each generation, you document what remains, what is lost, and what has
changed. Eventually, you will chronicle the final days.

3
Fleshing Out the Planet
and Civilization
Before beginning the first game turn, establish the world that is fading and
the civilization that once thrived upon it. Use the following d66 tables to
shape the backdrop of the Chronicle. You may roll for each category or
choose results that inspire you.

4
1. Name the World
What was this planet called by its people? (d66 Planet Names)

2. Define the Planet’s Fate

Why is the world dying? (d66 World’s Final Days)

3. Shape the Landscape

What does the planet look like as it fades? (d66 The Landscape in
Decline)

4. Identify Its Vanishing Wonders

What once-great natural features are now lost? (d66 Once-Great Natural
Wonders)

5. Determine the Civilization’s

Legacy
● What was this society once built upon? (d66 Foundations of a
Lost Civilization)
● What were their greatest achievements? (d66 Greatest
Achievements)

6. Define the Present Struggles

● How do the last survivors live? (d66 The Final Generation’s Way
of Life)
● What dangers still haunt them? (d66 Hostile Elements)

7. What Remains?
● What relics of the past are still preserved? (d66 Cultural Relics)
● What do the last survivors whisper to one another? (d66 The Last
Spoken Words)

This world will be unique to your game—a place shaped by glory long
past and inevitable loss. Once you have defined it, begin the first game
turn and record the final generations.

5
Game Loop
1. Flesh Out the Chronicler
Before beginning, define who the Chronicler is in this generation. Roll on
the following d66 tables or choose results that inspire you.

1. Name – What is the Chronicler called? (d66)

2. Title – How are they known? (d66)
3. Symbol of the Chronicle – What form does the record take?
(d66)
4. A Lost Belief They Cling To – What hope or truth do they still
hold? (d66)
5. A Fear They Dare Not Speak – What secret doubt haunts
them? (d66)

Each Chronicler will interpret events differently based on their perspective.

Over time, names and records may fade, but their words remain—if only
for a little while.

2. Roll d6 → Number of Events This Generation

● 1-2 → A quiet era, only one major event.

● 3-4 → Two significant events shape the generation.
● 5-6 → Three events, a turbulent time of change or loss.

3. For Each Event:

● Roll d66 → Major Event Table.

● Draw a Card → Interpret the Event.
● Chronicler’s Reaction → Write an Entry.

Each event contributes to the chronicle—are people adapting? Fading?

What knowledge is slipping away?

Note

To roll a d66, roll two six-sided dice (2d6). The first die represents the
tens place, and the second die represents the ones place. For example,
rolling a 3 and a 5 gives you 35. Always read the dice in this order to get
a result from 11 to 66.

6
Chronicle Entry Format
For each event, the Chronicler records:

1. Date (optional format: "Generation X, Year Y")

2. Event Summary (1-2 sentences based on d66 roll and card
draw)
3. Personal Reflection (How does the Chronicler feel? What do
they fear or hope for?)
4. Mark a Loss (Each event erases something—technology,
tradition, land, knowledge, belief, language, etc.)

Example Entry:

Generation 45, Year 2986

A new religious order rises, preaching that the sun’s coming death
is a blessing. The faith spreads quickly. (d66 = 34)Many find
solace in this belief, though it hastens the decline of science. (8 of Hearts)
Reflections: I fear that soon, no one will care for the stars, only
the fire waiting to consume us.
Lost: The last functioning observatory is abandoned.

The Chronicler’s Legacy

Each Chronicler writes their part of the record, but what happens to it over
generations?

● After each generation, roll 1d6:

○ 1-2: The chronicle is damaged (some pages are lost,
words fade).
○ 3-4: The chronicle is preserved, but no one reads it.
○ 5-6: The chronicle is passed down, influencing the
next Chronicler.
● If the Chronicle is damaged three times, it is unreadable—future
Chroniclers write from memory, misinterpret, or start anew.
● At the end, will anyone remember the first words written?

7
Final Generation & The
End
When the Ace of Spades is drawn, the last chapter begins. The red sun
swells. The last remnants of civilization vanish. The final Chronicler
records the last words of their people.

● Roll d6 to determine the number of final events.

● Entries become shorter, more fragmented, or filled with
desperate meaning.
● After chronicling them, write the last entry as the world ends.

Optional Rules
The Final Days Variant (for a more
defined ending)
Instead of ending immediately when the Ace of Spades is drawn, you
could have a structured last few generations:

1. Ace of Spades Drawn: The Chronicler records the first signs of

the end.
2. d6 Generations Left: Roll a d6 to determine how many more
cycles remain before the sun consumes all.
3. Fading Mechanic: Each generation after the Ace of Spades:
● Roll 1d6 for the Major Event as usual but take 1
from each result.
● If a 1 is rolled, nothing happens — civilization is too
diminished.
● Face cards disappear from the deck (leaders
vanish, figures fade).
4. The final Chronicler writes the last entry. The last human words.

8
A Map or Relic Record (for more
visual players)
● Instead of just writing, players could sketch a simple map of key
locations.
● As generations pass, locations crumble, change, or are
abandoned.
● Artifacts (books, machines, statues, etc.) could be tracked—do
they endure, or are they lost?

Multi-Chronicler Play (Letter

Format) (for a collaborative
variant)
● Instead of solo play, two players act as Chroniclers of distant
cities.
● They write letters to each other, sharing their fading world’s
struggles.
● Letters are lost as time goes on (shuffle and remove some before
reading them in later generations).
● Eventually, one Chronicler stops responding.

9
Major Events Table
D66 Event
The remnants of an ancient structure collapse, erasing more of
11
your people's history.
A long-lost tradition is rediscovered—but its meaning is
12
unclear.
A leader rises, preaching either defiance or acceptance of the
13
end.
A catastrophic natural event reshapes the land. The people
14
must adapt or flee.
A forgotten archive or ruin is found, containing knowledge
15
from the past.
A faction emerges, claiming they know how to stop the decline.
16
They don’t.
The last of a certain profession, craft, or discipline dies without
21
an apprentice.
22 A strange celestial event occurs. People take it as an omen.
A new philosophy spreads, reshaping how people see their
23
final days.
A great migration begins—some leave, some arrive, but all
24
seek hope.
A machine or system from the past, long thought broken,
25
functions one last time.
26 A disease or blight spreads, taking many before it fades away.
A new generation questions the old ways, leading to strife or
31
renewal.
The last scholar, historian, or scientist vanishes—leaving only
32
believers.
The stars seem dimmer, or perhaps the Chronicler is seeing
33
less clearly.
A religious order gains influence, either bringing comfort or
34
accelerating decline.
A war or conflict erupts—but its cause is meaningless in the
35
grand scheme.
A final attempt at rebuilding something great is made. It does
36
not last. 10
The Waning of Civilization
D66 Event
The sun burns a little hotter, a little redder. The days feel
41
heavier.
42 A once-thriving city or settlement is completely abandoned.
Someone claims they have received a message from beyond
43
the stars.

The last of a certain resource is used up. There is no

44
replacement.

A great work of art, writing, or music is made. Will anyone

45
remember it?

The sea, sky, or land changes in an unexpected way. Is it

46
natural?
51 A festival or ritual is held for what may be the last time.
A fragment of a forgotten language is discovered—too little to
52
bring it back.
53 The dead are left unburied or the burial rites are changed.
The people build a monument to their lost past—or to their
54
coming end.

A strange plant or animal appears, or an old species vanishes

55
forever.

Someone dedicates their life to preserving knowledge, but will

56
it outlive them?

The concept of time changes—calendars, clocks, or seasons

61
are abandoned.
62 A desperate gamble is made to reach the stars again. It fails.
The Chronicler sees something they cannot explain. No one
63
else notices.

An old technology functions perfectly—but no one knows how

64
to use it anymore.
65 For a fleeting moment, hope returns. It does not last.
66 The final story of a lost civilization is told. Perhaps this one.

A
different.

The event marks a turning point—something that can never be

2
undone.

An old wound reopens. A past disaster, long healed over, strikes

3
again.

A long-held hope is shattered. Something believed possible is

4
now impossible.

5 The people stop trying. They accept what is coming.

No one remembers the event a generation later. Even history is

6
fading.

A structure, monument, or city crumbles, untended and

7
forgotten.

A once-thriving place is now empty. Those who lived there are

8
gone.

The world grows quieter—fewer voices, fewer lights, fewer signs

9
of life.

Symbols of the Chronicle
(What Holds the Record of the Past?)

D66 Form of the Chronicle

11 A crumbling paper codex, brittle with age.

12 Words carved into a monolith of stone.

13 An endless scroll, patched and mended over centuries.

14 A vault of glass tablets, slowly clouding.

15 A set of memory crystals, but no one can read them anymore.

16 A collection of etched bone plates.

21 A single book, ink fading with time.

22 A neural archive, decaying with each passing generation.

23 Stories tattooed onto flesh, passed through bloodlines.

24 A set of coded glyphs, their meaning half-lost.

25 Words woven into fabric, fraying at the edges.

26 A holographic projector, flickering inconsistently.

31 An oral history, carried only in memory.

32 A dying machine, whispering the last words of a civilization.

33 A shattered archive, its fragments pieced together desperately.

34 A brass cylinder, wound with endless microtext.

35 A library ship, lost in orbit, transmitting static.

36 A set of burned clay tablets, some still legible.

20
D66 Form of the Chronicle

41 A metallic scrollcase, locked against decay.

42 A pillar of names, eroding in the wind.

43 A chain of messages written on cloth banners.

44 A once-sacred tome, now used as fuel.

45 A chronicle scratched onto a wall, being reclaimed by nature.

46 A small data drive, its key long lost.

A decayed stack of maps, showing a world that no longer

51
exists.

52 A song, remembered by fewer voices each year.

53 A book bound in metal, its pages stuck together.

54 A constellation pattern, each star a remembered name.

55 A ring of engraved stones, too heavy to move.

56 A whisper written in dust, erased by the wind.

61 A half-destroyed digital log, barely functioning.

A book that was rewritten so many times, its original meaning is

62
lost.

63 A relic stored underground, waiting for no one.

64 A code of laws, irrelevant in this dying world.

65 A children's rhyme, all that remains of a history.

66 Nothing. The Chronicle is already lost.

21
A Lost Belief They Cling To
(Something They Still Hold as True, Even if No One Else Does)

D66 Belief

11 We will be remembered beyond the stars.

12 Someone will return for us.

13 The end is not truly the end.

14 Our ancestors watch over us.

15 The sun’s fire is a test.

16 A secret city still thrives somewhere.

21 The gods will intervene before the final moment.

22 If the Chronicle survives, so do we.

23 Our knowledge will awaken again in another age.

24 There is still a way off this planet, hidden somewhere.

25 The stars have not forgotten us, they are simply silent.

26 The machines of old can still be repaired.

31 A prophecy foretells our rebirth.

32 The great libraries will endure, even if we do not.

33 Someone, somewhere, still watches over us.

34 The void beyond is not empty—it waits for us.

35 If we preserve our traditions, we will live on.

36 There is a deeper meaning to our decline.

22
D66 Belief

41 If I record everything, the truth will not be lost.

42 The sky will one day clear, revealing something new.

43 The cycle will begin again, as it always has.

44 Time will reverse itself, restoring what was lost.

45 Not all of our kind are gone—some have found refuge.

46 The past can be rebuilt if we only find the right knowledge.

51 The final Chronicler will witness a miracle.

52 Our words have power beyond what we understand.

53 The sun will be reborn, and so will we.

54 There is still a hidden place where life flourishes.

55 The spirits of the past can guide us, if we listen.

56 Our ancestors left us a message we have yet to understand.

61 We are not alone—we have simply forgotten how to listen.

62 If the stars disappear, it means something new is coming.

63 The first Chronicler saw something they never recorded.

64 The last of us will witness something no one else has seen.

65 There is still one last secret left to uncover.

66 I will not die before I see the truth.

23
A Fear They Dare Not Speak
(A Hidden Worry That Haunts Them)

D66 Fear

11 No one will read these words.

12 We were never meant to survive.

13 The universe has already forgotten us.

14 I am the last Chronicler, and I do not know what to write.

15 The past was never as grand as we believed.

16 The stars were never ours to begin with.

21 Everything we built was for nothing.

22 There was a time before us, and there will be nothing after.

23 The final generation will not understand my words.

24 The red sun will consume even our memory.

25 I am forgetting things I swore to remember.

26 Our greatest achievements will be dust in a handful of years.

31 I am writing lies, but I do not know which ones.

32 There is no meaning in recording the end.

33 I will die before my final entry is complete.

34 The past is already too distorted to be saved.

35 No one else cares about the Chronicle anymore.

36 One day, even I will stop believing.

24
D66 Fear

41 I hear whispers in the empty halls.

42 Something is watching, and it does not care.

43 The last words of my predecessor were scratched out.

44 I found a name I do not recognize in the Chronicle.

45 I dreamed of fire, and the dream felt like prophecy.

46 I have seen the end in my sleep, and it is not peaceful.

51 I do not think I am writing the truth anymore.

52 I have forgotten my own name.

53 I cannot remember the sound of another person’s voice.

54 I no longer know if the Chronicle is real.

55 The stars have been different lately, but no one else notices.

56 The sky is not supposed to be that color.

61 The ruins whisper, but only when I am alone.

62 A story I wrote changed on its own.

63 I can feel time slipping away faster than before.

64 My hand moved on its own when I wrote the last entry.

65 I am not the first Chronicler, and I will not be the last.

66 The Chronicle is cursed, and I am its final victim.

World’s Final Days
(What catastrophic change is dooming the planet?)
D66 Dooming Change

11 The sun is expanding, burning the sky.

The atmosphere is thinning—each breath is harder than the

12
last.

13 The temperature is dropping, a slow march into eternal cold.

A toxin seeps into the air and water, making survival ever
14
harder.

15 The magnetic field is failing, exposing the world to cosmic fire.

16 Great storms rage across the land, tearing away what remains.

Earthquakes grow stronger, reshaping the land beyond

21
recognition.

22 The oceans are retreating, leaving only cracked wastelands.

The ground is crumbling, as if something deep within is

23
breaking apart.
Vegetation is withering, leaving only dust where forests once
24
stood.

25 The world’s core is cooling, and soon nothing will grow again.

26 A creeping darkness spreads, blotting out the sun and stars.

31 The tides have frozen, leaving ships stranded forever.

32 Gravity is weakening—stones and dust drift eerily upward.

The seasons have stopped changing, locking the world in one

33
endless state.

34 The rain has turned corrosive, devouring whatever it touches.

35 The soil itself has turned barren, incapable of sustaining life.

A slow, unstoppable wind scours the land, reshaping

36
everything.

28
D66 Dooming Change

A strange energy pulses through the world, causing

41
unpredictable shifts.

42 The stars are fading, one by one, into total emptiness.

43 Unnatural silence has overtaken the world—no echo, no sound.

44 Something vast and unseen moves beneath the surface.

45 The sky fractures, revealing glimpses of something unknowable.

46 A slow-motion collapse—mountains crumbling, cities sinking.

51 The last water source is vanishing, drop by drop.

The moon has fallen, its broken remains scattered across the
52
land.

53 Time itself is unraveling—days stretch long, nights blink by.

54 The air grows thinner every day, suffocating even the strongest.

55 An unknown force pulls everything toward the horizon.

56 A final storm looms, waiting to erase everything.

61 The planet is tilting, throwing everything into chaos.

62 The stars are no longer where they should be.

63 A vast chasm is opening, swallowing all in its path.

Shadows move without light, as if something unseen is

64
watching.

65 Every structure is turning to dust, no matter how strong.

66 No one knows why—but the world is ending.

The Landscape in Decline
(What does the world look like as it fades?)

D66 Decaying Landscape

11 Endless plains of dust, where once great forests stood.

12 Vast stretches of cracked, lifeless earth.

13 Towering cliffs, slowly crumbling into the sea.

14 Frozen oceans, their waves frozen mid-motion.

15 A land of hollowed-out mountains, stripped bare.

16 Fields of dead trees, their trunks blackened and dry.

21 A desert of shifting glass, remnants of ancient fires.

22 Rivers that no longer flow, their beds nothing but dust.

23 Cities swallowed by dunes, their rooftops barely visible.

Swamps of thick, choking mud, swallowing the last remnants of

24
life.

25 Jagged peaks rising from a poisoned sea.

26 Tunnels stretching for miles, their purpose long forgotten.

31 A single, vast canyon, cutting through the world like a wound.

32 Ruins of bridges stretching over chasms without a bottom.

33 Empty lakes, their cracked beds forming a mosaic of loss.

34 Towers standing alone, too strong to fall, too weak to remain.

35 A forest where every tree is petrified, frozen in time.

36 A once-thriving valley, now silent and still.

30
D66 Decaying Landscape

41 An ocean where the water has turned black and thick.

42 A land of endless mist, where nothing can be seen clearly.

43 A frozen tundra where the air itself shimmers like glass.

44 Roads that lead nowhere, broken and faded.

A city beneath the earth, carved into stone but long

45
abandoned.

46 A wasteland of shifting sands, swallowing all who enter.

A single, immense crater where something once struck the

51
earth.

52 A land of endless ruins, each layer older than the last.

53 A sky filled with strange auroras, flickering like dying embers.

54 A land where the bones of great beasts still remain.

A plateau where nothing grows, nothing moves, nothing

55
changes.

56 A plain of ash, stretching beyond sight.

61 A sea of salt, where no life stirs.

62 A place where the air shimmers, heavy with something unseen.

63 A great pit, as if something had been torn from the world.

64 A land of strange, twisted rock, sculpted by time and wind.

65 The remains of a great wall, stretching across the horizon.

66 A single, immense ruin—too large to have ever been real.

44 A floating island that is losing altitude each year.

45 A vast lake of black water, said to hold ancient memories.

46 A field of luminous flowers, now dim and withering.

51 A great chasm that once echoed with voices from the past.

A ridge where the sky once danced with strange lights, now
52

53 A sacred grove, now twisted and lifeless.

A range of mountains that hum with the wind, though their

55 A deep jungle that no longer grows.

56 A monolith that once pulsed with energy, now silent.

61 A frozen ocean, the ice growing thinner each year.

62 A maze of interconnected caves, filling slowly with water.

63 A waterfall that flows in reverse, but is slowing down.

64 A once-thriving coral reef, now turned to stone.

Signs of the End
(What eerie phenomena mark the planet’s decline?)

D66 Sign of the End

11 The sun flickers like a dying flame.

12 The sky changes color unpredictably.

13 Reflections no longer match reality.

14 Time flows inconsistently—some days stretch, others vanish.

15 The stars realign themselves into unknown constellations.

16 Shadows grow longer, even without changing light.

21 The ground pulses faintly underfoot.

22 Ruins appear and disappear as if shifting through time.

23 The last birds have fallen silent.

24 The moon fractures, its pieces drifting apart.

25 Strange symbols etch themselves into stone overnight.

26 The wind carries unfamiliar voices.

31 The rivers have started flowing uphill.

Distant shapes appear on the horizon, but no one can reach

32
them.

33 Food loses all taste, no matter how fresh.

34 Familiar places seem slightly altered each time they are visited.

35 Sound carries farther than it should, creating eerie echoes.

36 The sky reveals glimpses of places that do not exist.

36
D66 Sign of the End

41 Statues and carvings appear overnight.

42 The ground rumbles with no source of movement.

43 People forget their own names in their dreams.

44 The last surviving machines begin counting down to nothing.

45 No new children have been born for years.

46 The night sky is darker than it has ever been.

51 Water no longer reflects anything—only an empty void.

52 The air hums with a low, constant vibration no one can explain.

53 Echoes continue long after sounds should have faded.

The sun rises later each day, or perhaps the nights are growing
54
longer.
Some structures crumble into dust overnight, as if they never
55
existed.
Faint music can be heard on the wind, but no source is ever
56
found.
Written words fade from books and stone, leaving only empty
61
pages.

62 People wake up with memories of places they have never been.

63 The stars appear to be moving, forming strange patterns.

An overwhelming silence settles over the land—no wind, no

64
life, nothing.
The air itself seems heavier, pressing down on the last
65
survivors.

66 No one can remember what the world was like before.

37
Characterize your
Civilization
D66 Foundation of Civilization
11 A vast network of city-states, now disconnected and crumbling.
A great empire that ruled through knowledge and record-
12
keeping.
13 A people who once mastered the stars, but lost the path back.
A culture that lived in harmony with the land, now struggling to
14
survive.
A highly industrialized world that relied on long-lost power
15
sources.
A nomadic people who moved with the seasons, now trapped
16
in place.
A civilization built around a single, enormous city, now
21
abandoned.
A society that measured time differently, leaving their records
22
incomprehensible.
23 A world that revolved around a great marketplace, now barren.
A theocracy where divine rulers interpreted the will of the
24
universe.
A culture that worshiped knowledge, with libraries now turned
25
to dust.
26 A militaristic society that built fortresses instead of homes.
A civilization that recorded everything in vast underground
31
archives.
32 A people who once shaped the land itself to suit their needs.
A culture obsessed with ritual and tradition, now fading into
33
obscurity.
A society that used music as its primary form of
34
communication.
A world where energy was drawn from an unknown, now
35
failing source.
36 A civilization where the ruling class vanished overnight.
38
Foundations of a Lost Civilization
(What was this society once built upon?)

D66 Foundation of Civilization

A people who lived only in the highest peaks, now forced to

41
descend.
42 A society that stored all its knowledge in a single, lost location.

43 A world where disputes were settled through art instead of war.

44 A vast underground civilization, its tunnels now collapsing.

A people who feared the open sky, building homes only in
45
enclosed spaces.
46 A culture that mastered alchemy, but lost the secrets over time.

51 A world where rulers were chosen by a long-forgotten trial.

52 A civilization that shaped itself around an unbreakable law.

A people who engineered plants and animals to suit their
53
needs.
A society that abandoned speech for symbols, now
54
meaningless.
55 A world where technology and magic were indistinguishable.
A civilization that believed itself immortal—until the decline
56
began.
A people who recorded their entire history in the movement of
61
the stars.
62 A culture where history was rewritten each generation.

63 A civilization where prophecy shaped the future—until it failed.

A people who built everything to withstand eternity, yet it is all
64
fading.
A society that could once heal any wound, but no longer
65
remembers how.
A world where everyone believed they were the last survivors,
66
even then.
39
Greatest Achievements
(What were their crowning technological or cultural triumphs?)

D66 Greatest Achievement

11 They created structures that once defied gravity.

12 They mastered a form of energy now completely lost.

They wrote the most complete history ever known, now

13
scattered.
They built vast underground cities immune to the surface’s
14
dangers.
They had machines that could repair anything—until they
15
stopped working.

16 They mapped the entire sky, but the stars no longer match.

21 They created an artificial sun that still flickers in the distance.

They developed medicine that granted near-immortality—now

22
lost.

23 They engineered plants that could grow anywhere, now extinct.

24 They perfected a universal language, now forgotten.

They sculpted statues so lifelike they were mistaken for the

25
living.
They created a vast network of towers that once carried
26
messages instantly.

31 They discovered a material stronger than stone, now crumbling.

They built roads that never eroded, though most lead nowhere
32
now.

33 They had machines that could harness the power of the tides.

They recorded voices so clearly it sounded like the past was

34
alive.
They designed a city that could move, though no one
35
remembers how.

36 They constructed a monument visible from orbit—now in ruins.

40
D66 Greatest Achievement

41 They created a system of governance that lasted for millennia.

They turned the desert into a lush paradise, which has now
42
turned back.
43 They tamed creatures that once roamed wild, now lost to time.
They built a grand observatory to watch the stars—now
44
shattered.
They crafted musical instruments whose sounds could never be
45
replicated.
They discovered a way to read thoughts, but the method has
46
been erased.
They stored their greatest knowledge in a single artifact, now
51
missing.
52 They constructed a vast, floating city—now fallen into the sea.
53 They created the longest-lasting light source, now flickering.
They forged a weapon so powerful it was never used, now
54
buried.
They had a method of perfect communication, but it required
55
two minds.
They harnessed the power of sound, but the knowledge is now
56
gone.
61 They built bridges that connected continents, now broken.
They discovered a way to erase pain, but the method is
62
forgotten.
They learned how to extend a single moment in time, now
63
impossible.
They understood something about the universe no one else
64
ever did.
They had a way to send messages through time, but the last
65
one was never received.
Their final and greatest achievement was lost before it was ever
66
used.

13 Isolated in scattered enclaves, avoiding contact with others.

14 Huddled in underground shelters, waiting for the end.

15 Defenders of a single, failing stronghold.

16 Sustained by a dwindling food source they cannot replenish.

Divided into small family units, never gathering in large
