Your Student Allowance has been approved for study at Victoria University Of
Wellington.
These are the payments you qualified for at 19 March 2025 - they are based on information
you and your education provider have given us.
You have been approved a Student Allowance for a single student aged under 24, who lives
away from home. You also qualify for an Accommodation Benefit.
You'll get a payment of $249.42 on Tuesday 25 March 2025. From then on you'll be paid
$249.42 every Tuesday. Your Student Allowance is approved at this rate from 24 February
2025 to 9 November 2025.

Your Student Allowance is currently limited to 200 weeks for tertiary study
The Student Allowance is normally paid for 200 weeks for tertiary study. To date you have
used 27 weeks of your 200 week entitlement. Your Student Allowance entitlement will reduce
to 120 weeks once you are 40 years or over.
Results of Study
We're continuing to ask for your Results of Study details from the Ministry of Education. If
they tell us that you didn't pass more than half of the last full-time tertiary course you got a
Student Allowance for, we'll review your application. You may have a debt created for any
payments you were not entitled to and you'll need to pay the money back.

If your circumstances change
Please note these are the payments you qualified for at 19 March 2025 - they are based on
information you and your education provider have given us.
Please remember to let us know straight away if you and/or your partner's circumstances
change, as this may affect your payments. For example, we need to know if you and or your
partner change address, stop studying, change study plans, have a change in income, your
relationship changes or your child(ren) leave your care. If you don't let us know, you could be
overpaid and you'll need to pay the money back. We could take legal action to recover this
money. Call us with this information or you may be able to update your details online by
logging into MyStudyLink from our website.
If you disagree
You have the right to ask us to review any decision we make. You need to write to us or fill in
a Review of Decision form within three months of getting the decision.
