The Cushion is made of 5 petals and 1 centre part, Following the
tutorial and using the recommended yarn, your finished cushion
will measure approx. 17”(42)cm petal to petal and is approx.
5”(12.5cm) deep.

Notes:
Stitches in brackets ( ) all worked in to one stitch.

(3sc) x 2 means 3sc in each of the next 2 stitches.
Alternate: (sc inc) and 2sc x 3 means work 2sc in the

Crochet hook: 4mm
Yarn: Chunky - alternatively you could use DK doubled up.
Purple: 300g
Magenta: 100g
Lemon: 50g
Damson: 50g
Darning Needle:
Fiber fill also known as Toy stuffing: approx. 250g
Below is showing the colors and brand that I have used. However
you can use any colours, and brand of Chunky yarn or wool of your
choice. Gauge is not important as long as you are consistent.

In the color of your choice.
Leave a long starting tail
Ch4 – slst in to the first chain to join ring.
Work 10sc in to the ring.
Bring both tails to the center at the back of the nose.
Put aside for now.

Petal Assembly
Place two parts for each petal on top of each other (p1).
I recommend placing a stitch marker through the centre stitch at
the top of both parts (p2).
Insert your crochet hook in to the centre base chain (p3).
Crochet through both parts and through the BACK LOOPS ONLY (p5/6).
Work (1sc, 1chBLO) in each stitch around, f/0.
Repeat this for all 5 petals.

Cushion Assembly
Place both parts together with the good side on the outside and stitch
the two parts together through the 12 stitches in the centre between
Rounds 1 and 2 (p1/2).
Insert your crochet hook through both parts (p3). Crochet both parts
together with sc stitches (p4). Leave approximately 20 stitches
unworked and stuff evenly with fibre fill (p5). Crochet or sew the rest
of the stitches together.

Assembly Back /Side Petals-Step1
Place the side petal on top of the back petal with the top edge in
between rounds 3 & 4 of the back petal and the pointed bases of both
petals touching as shown in (p1).
Sew both bases together with a couple of stitches (p2).
Hold the edge of the side petal in place with a sewing pin for now (p3).
This will be the left petal. Repeat mirror image for the right petal (p4).

Assembly Back /Side Petals -Step 2
Fix the side petal to the back petal at the points indicated in (p1). To
make this as easy as possible, simply stitch up from the back through
both petals and bring the needle out in between the purple and yellow
edge (p2). Insert the needle about 1 stitch away from where you came
out (p3) and stitch back down through both petals again (p4).
Tie a tight knot with the 2 ends and hide the tails inside the petal.
Repeat mirror image on the right petal.

Assembly Back /Side Petals-Step4
Also fix the petals together in between the yellow and magenta edge in
the same way at the points indicated by the blue X (p1).
Repeat mirror image on the right petal.
Place both petals next to each other with the purple edge of the left
overlapping and touching the yellow edge of the right petal. Fix where
indicated by the yellow stars (p2/3). Sew the bases together with a
couple of stitches (p4/5). Turn over and place a stitch at the back (p6).

Assembly Lip Petal
Place the lip over the joint of the two parts as shown in (p2).
Sew all three parts together with a couple of stitches (p3/4).
Place a fixing stitch in between the magenta and yellow edge on both
sides of the lip (p2/5).

Adding the Base and Nose
Place the assembled face on top of the cushion base (p2).
Push the middle (where all 3 parts are attached) down in to the
indentation of the cushion base (p3). Feed the tails of the nose through
the needle (p4). Stitch through the top edge of the lip (p5) and all the
way through to the other side of the Cushion base (p6). Make several
knots and hide the tail in the cushion.

Fixing Side /Lip Petals to the Base
Fix lower part of side petal that is hidden behind the lip (p1/2/3).
Fold the petal back until you can see the 1st round of loops and attach it
there by picking up only the under layer of the petal (4/5).
Attach the 4 points of the lip (p 1/6/7) to the 2nd round of loops (p8).
Fold the petal back and place the stitch approximately in the edge
between the yellow and magenta of the under layer (p9).

Fixing the Back Petals to the Base
Fix the lower part of the back petals to the 3rd round of loops in the
same way (p1/2/3). Fix the middle and highest point to the 2nd
round of loops. As before fold the petal back (p4).
Finally place one last stitch at the point indicated in (p5). Hide this
stich by placing it below and behind the edge of the side petal (6/7).
Your finished cushion will now have a 3D effect (8/9).
