I am writing to express my strong interest in pursuing the MSc by Research in International Business at
the University of Gloucestershire. My academic background, work experience, and interest in learning
about international business trends have encouraged me to make this bold move toward the next level in my
career.
With a background in physiotherapy and a strong academic and professional journey, I am eager to explore
the intersection between healthcare and international business. This program aligns perfectly with my career
aspirations and provides the ideal platform to further develop my research skills and contribute to the global
business landscape.

Academic Background

I completed my Matriculation from the CBSE Board in 2011 with a CGPA of 8.8, followed by my Senior
Secondary Education in the Non-Medical stream in 2013, where I secured 69.2%. My academic journey
continued with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Delhi in 2019, achieving 70.3%, and a
Master of Physiotherapy from the University of Delhi South Campus in 2021, with 68.5%. My
education in physiotherapy equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare, yet I felt a
strong pull towards business management, particularly as it relates to healthcare systems and institutions.

Professional Experience and Career Interests

For the past few years, I have worked as an Assistant Professor at the MM Institute of Physiotherapy and
Rehabilitation. From January 25, 2021, to June 2, 2023, and from August 11, 2023, to the present, I
have been involved in teaching, mentoring, and conducting academic research. During this time, I developed
an interest in the business aspects of healthcare, including the management of healthcare institutions,
international collaborations, and the economic factors influencing the global healthcare industry. This
interest in global business practices, particularly in the healthcare sector, has motivated me to explore
International Business through research.

Why International Business and Research?

The increasing integration of healthcare systems worldwide, as well as the rising significance of
international partnerships, has led me to understand that healthcare administration needs to develop along
with business strategy. Healthcare organizations in developing countries such as India have difficulties when
attempting to become internationalized and collaborate with international organizations. With a focus on
International Business, I intend to explore ways through which healthcare organizations, especially small
and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), can leverage international business tactics to grow their scope, adopt
digitalization, and surmount the obstacles brought about by regulations and cultural disparities.

My study will add to the knowledge of how healthcare institutions can gain from international business
strategies, enhancing their operations and service delivery and overcoming challenges like market entry
strategies, trade regulations, and cross-cultural communication. My study also has the potential to inform
policymakers on how they can promote digital transformation and international business collaborations in
healthcare.

Why the University of Gloucestershire?

The University of Gloucestershire is a particularly good fit for my research experience because of its
excellent reputation for promoting research-informed learning and academic excellence. The university's
emphasis on global business strategies, along with the ability to interact with academic staff who are
professionals in their area of expertise, offers a great platform to pursue my research. Furthermore, the
university provides a collaborative learning environment that would enable me to work with peers from
different backgrounds, expanding my horizon and enriching my research.

I am most attracted to the research facilities at the University of Gloucestershire, which will significantly
assist me in carrying out serious academic research. The commitment of the institution to exposing students
to real-world experience through different partnerships and industry associations will offer me the practical
experience needed to supplement my academic learning.

Why Study in the UK?

The UK has been a world leader in both business and healthcare for a long time, providing a dynamic and
innovative climate for academic development. The educational system of the country, with its high standards
and research focus, provides a suitable environment for me to advance my academic and professional
development. In addition, studying in the UK will allow me to be exposed to a multicultural, international
student population, furthering my knowledge of global business practices and cultural exchange.

Probing Further, the UK's health system and focus on global business alliances afford a singular possibility
of acquiring direct experience of how healthcare institutions and businesses collaborate in solving
international problems. The multicultural, multilateral setting will further enhance my study, allowing me to
see how healthcare businesses transform and thrive within various cultural environments.

Career Aspirations and Future Plans

Upon completion of my MSc by Research in International Business, I plan to return to India and apply
the knowledge I have gained in international business and healthcare management to contribute to the
development of the healthcare sector. India’s healthcare system is rapidly growing, and there are significant
opportunities for healthcare institutions to expand globally through international collaborations and digital
transformation. I envision myself playing a role in facilitating this process, helping healthcare institutions
optimize their strategies and explore international market opportunities.

I am also passionate about academia and plan to continue teaching and conducting research in the field of
healthcare management. My long-term goal is to become a leading academic in the field of healthcare
business management, contributing to both the academic community and the practical development of the
healthcare sector.

Upon completion of my MSc by Research in International Business, I plan to return to India, where the
healthcare industry is undergoing rapid transformation. As the healthcare sector in India continues to expand
and integrate more with global business practices, there is an increasing need for professionals who possess
expertise in both business management and healthcare systems.

Some of the exciting career opportunities I envision in India, particularly within the healthcare sector,
include:

1. International Healthcare Marketing Manager: In this role, I would leverage my knowledge of

international business to help healthcare organizations develop marketing strategies that resonate
with global and local markets. I would focus on positioning healthcare services, medical products,
and technologies in international markets, taking into account cultural and regulatory factors.
2. International Healthcare Product Manager: As an International Healthcare Product Manager, I
would be responsible for overseeing the development and global distribution of medical products or
healthcare technologies. I would manage cross-border product launches, ensuring compliance with
international regulations and adapting products to meet the needs of diverse healthcare markets.
3. Healthcare Business Development Manager: This position would involve identifying new business
opportunities and forming strategic alliances with international healthcare providers, pharmaceutical
companies, and medical technology firms. I would play a crucial role in expanding the reach of
healthcare services and products across global markets, ultimately driving growth in India's
healthcare sector.
4. Healthcare Analytics Manager: As a Healthcare Analytics Manager, I would analyze data from
international healthcare markets to support decision-making, optimize operations, and improve
patient outcomes. My role would involve using business analytics to understand global healthcare
trends, identify opportunities for innovation, and provide insights for improving healthcare delivery
in India.
5. Healthcare Operations Manager: In this position, I would oversee the operations of healthcare
institutions, ensuring efficiency in service delivery. By leveraging business strategies and
international practices, I would help healthcare facilities enhance their performance, expand their
services, and streamline their operations to meet global standards.

India’s healthcare sector is rapidly growing, and there is an increasing demand for professionals who can
bridge the gap between healthcare delivery and international business practices. Leading healthcare
organizations in India, such as Fortis Healthcare, Apollo Hospitals, and Max Healthcare, are looking for
experts who can manage the global expansion of healthcare services, improve operational efficiency, and
lead innovation. Additionally, the rise of health-tech startups in India presents promising career
opportunities for professionals with expertise in both healthcare and business.

By combining my research in International Business with my background in healthcare, I aim to contribute

significantly to the evolution of India's healthcare industry. I am committed to returning to India after
completing my studies to apply the knowledge and skills I acquire in helping healthcare organizations
navigate the complexities of international business and contribute to the overall improvement of healthcare
services.

Conclusion

While my academic and professional journey has brought me to this point, my family has always played a
crucial role in shaping who I am today. Their constant love, support, and encouragement have been a source
of motivation throughout my life. My parents, in particular, have instilled in me the value of hard work and
the importance of pursuing my dreams, no matter how challenging the journey may be. Their unwavering
support in my decision to pursue higher education abroad means the world to me, even though the thought
of being away from them for an extended period is difficult.

However, I firmly believe that pursuing this research-based MSc in International Business at the
University of Gloucestershire is a critical step toward achieving my long-term career goals. The skills and
knowledge I will gain will not only contribute to my personal growth but also allow me to contribute
meaningfully to the development of the healthcare sector in India. I am committed to returning to India after
completing my studies and leveraging the expertise I acquire to contribute to my country’s growing
healthcare industry.

This program will enable me to blend my passion for healthcare with the skills required to navigate the
complexities of international business, and I am confident that it will provide the foundation I need for a
successful career in global business and healthcare management.

Thank you for considering my application.
