ONE FRONT TIRE WEARS RAPTDLY

When 2 cor is operated axtensively with only the driver, due
to the uneven distribotion of weight, the right front tire is
apt to wear more rapidly than the left one.
Check front wheel toe in, should not be aver 3/16 of one inch
under these conditions.
Interchange right and left front tires.
Check air pressurs. See thet it ie up to standard and examine
ateering Imuckles and front arle for being bent.
Check steering Imuckle arms to determine if they are in their
correct positions when wheela are streight. These should be
ghecked by comparing them with new knuckles, or with kruckles
on another car, The wheel alignment in the straight positicn
may be correct but on & turn a bent arm causes rapid weer.
The outer wheel must operate on a different radius.
NOIST REAR AXLE
Cars Under R-160,397.
Tn some cases the noise seemingly in rear axle, is caused entirely
by the action of tires on road pavement. This can be checked
by installing, a5 a test, four rib cord tires.
