NOTE:
From round 2, every round is started with ch 2. These do not take the place of any
sts, neither do they count towards the st total.
Every round is ended with a sl st from the back into the second ch from the
beginning of the round. This is a regular sl st, but is worked from the back instead of
the front, as usually done. This makes the join between rounds and color changes
less noticeable. The join will still pull a bit and lean to one side, as you are working in
the round. See the guide with pictures at the end of the pattern instructions.

The bag is made using 8/8 cotton yarn.
1. Use color A. Loop the yarn through a st/loop in the edge of the bag base. Ch 1, then
sc into every st/loop around the bag base. Finish round with a sl st. (114)
2. Ch 2. Hcd in every st of the round. End round with a sl st from the back. (114)
3. Switch to color B. Ch 2, then hdc into the b-bl of every st until end of round. Join
round with a sl st from the back. (114)
4. Switch to color A. Ch 2, then hdc into the b-bl of every st until end of round. Join
round with a sl st from the back. (114)
Repeat rounds 3 and 4 until you have 34 rounds in total.
35. Continue in color A. Ch 1, then sc into b-bl of every st of the round. Join round with a
sl st from the back. (114)
36. Ch 1. SPsc into the next 26 sts. SPsc into the next 5 sts, working around a d-ring to
attach it. SPsc into the next 52 sts. SPsc into the next 5 sts, working around another
d-ring to attach it. SPsc into the next 26 sts. Join the round with a sl st. (114)
37. Work sl st into every st of the round. (114) Cut yarn and weave in ends.

Straps:
Using the knitting mill and the Rainbow 8/4 yarn, make 5 i-cords of about 65 cm each.
Sew them together and attach them as pictured below:

back loop is the loop that is shown when
you tip your work a bit towards you. It it just
behind the two loops you normally work
through. The needle in the picture shows
where you should make your first hdc.
3. Like so. 4. Make a hdc in the b-bl of the next st.
5. Like so. 6. Repeat this all the way around.
