Final Exam: Video Project in Contemporary World

General Guidelines

As part of the final assessment for Contemporary World, you will create a video
project based on selected global issues and themes. This project will demonstrate
your ability to critically analyze contemporary topics, present well-researched
insights, and communicate ideas effectively using multimedia.

You may choose from three major categories:

1. Global Issue Documentary – Addressing a contemporary global issue,


such as climate change, inequality, migration, or human rights.

• Human Rights Violations and Social Justice Movements
• Gender Equality and Women’s Rights
• The Effects of Economic Inequality on Global Societies

2. The Impact of Technology on the Modern World – Exploring how AI,


social media, or the digital divide affects global societies.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Format & Length:


o The video must be 5 to 10 minutes long.
o Acceptable file formats: MP4, MOV, or AVI.
2. Content & Research:
o Your video must be fact-based, well-researched, and relevant to
contemporary global issues.
o Use credible sources and cite references either in the video or in a
separate document.
o Clearly explain key concepts and provide real-world examples.
3. Creativity & Presentation:
o Use a variety of presentation styles, such as narration, interviews,
visuals, infographics, or animations.
o Avoid long blocks of text - prioritize storytelling, clear voiceovers,
and visual engagement.
4. Technical Quality:
o Ensure clear audio and video quality (no distracting background
noise).
o Proper editing, transitions, and effects should enhance the video’s
impact.
o If using background music, it must not overpower the narration.
5. Submission & Deadline:
o Submit your video via Google Drive or email by April 29, 2025, at
11:59 PM.
o Late submissions will NOT be accepted under any circumstances.
