⬩ Did any of you originate from the city? If so, for what reasons did they leave the
supposed “luxury center of the world”?
⬩ Do you see many people on the streets themselves? Do you run into any familiar
faces, who are bound to show up in such a massive hub?
⬩ Have you been interested in mythosports before? Are you considering
participating in the tournament?
⬩ How did a city like this get so large? What was its origins?
⬩ The sewers seem to be connected to the shipping district…where are they
sending their waste to, and why?
⬩ Some districts are shut down at night… isn’t that dangerous? What happens to
these parts of the city in the darkness of night?
TYPICAL FEATURES
⬩ A form of entertainment that dominates the industry in this city.
⬩ A clear divide between the wealthy and the rest of the city.
⬩ A social mob driven by the local entertainment - who organizes for better, or for
worse.
⬩ An energy source that is being used by the city to fuel all of its luxury - and in the
absence of it, danger.
LOCATION
The Aetherdome is ideally a midpoint of a campaign, a place of temptation and luxury that
threatens to lure the group away from their main quest, or a good place to gather
information from parties from around the world (or, even beyond it!). As a false endpoint, the
Aetherdome can be used as a “nal state of humanity,” where we can settle within luxury…or
continue our journey further.
THE VILLAINS’ PLANS
The Aetherdome is a good location to escalate an existing villain’s schemes, introduce some
minor Villains that want to cause a ruckus for the locals, or even to nd washed-up ex-
Villains that the group has seen prior, now competing in mythosports!

STORY HOOKS
When bringing the Champion’s Aetherdome into play, the GM may use the following
points to enrich the story.
THE MEGASPORTS CITY
The city as a whole towers far beyond any other settlement, and promises luxuries
and entertainment that you can’t get anywhere else.
⬩ The Railway. A state-of-the-art train, used to travel about as fast as a bullet
within the city. The party likely traveled to the Aetherdome using this railway,
which extends far outwards past the desert landscape.
⬩ The Upper Districts. The rich and elite’s mansions and party houses. Of course,
they have their own separate warehouses to get their basic needs met, and
much more.
⬩ The Night Districts. The city’s ofcial name for the lower-class districts is the
“In-Development Zones”, but their common name is “night districts,” coined by
the people who live here. Autonomous construction vehicles idle around,
oftentimes blocking major routes. Though, there’s not actually much
construction going on. Once they all suddenly power on in a night district,
however, they resume their automated paths without any heed for existing
buildings or people in the way.
THE AETHERDOME PROPER
The centerpiece of the city, the Aetherdome itself takes up a whopping eighth of the
whole metropolitan tour district. The dome is complete with a megamall, railway, and
many, many hotels to accommodate for the spectacle that is soon to happen.
⬩ The Arena. Where all the action happens. Put on a show for the audience! The
Aetherdome is a great way to test out experimental mechanics in combat.
3
⬩ The Metromarket. Within the sea of people, boxes, and food stalls, you can nd
just about anything. Just about all items found previously in the party’s journey
can be bought here.
⬩ The Party’s Hotel. The party will likely rent (or, in some cases, be given tickets
to) a hotel room as a base of operations within the city.
BB!! BEVERAGE DISTILLERY
BB!! is a massive beverage company that distills and distributes their ever-popular drink,
Bad to the Bone, or commonly BB.
⬩ Strangely heightened security. The city is known to be pretty safe, with customs
in place for travelers going to and from it. However, this place seems to have
its own military structures, vehicle emplacements, and guards everywhere.
What is with all this extra detail for a distillery?
⬩ BB!! In-House Research Facility. There is a small department building that is
right at the edge of the main sewer channels. This is where the PCs may learn
that there is a large underground network of buildings unrelated to the
sewers.
⬩ The Origins of Saurine. Once they make it to the underground section of the
distillery, the PCs discover that the main ingredient in BB, saurine, is
manufactured from the bones of an extant megafauna that lived in eons past.
The company has been harvesting their remains for decades since discovering
the site. In the early days of the city, the bones were used as a power source
due to the exorbitant amount of mana it contained. Nowadays, the
underground manufacturers below the distillery extract the bones’ marrow,
creating saurine - splashed in BB to give it its carbonation and kick - and mana
waste product that is sent to the shipping district via the sewer system.
Unprocessed bones are saved to be manufactured into trophies for
mythosports contestants, or sold to other cities for a prot.
