1. What should be the reaction of a child of God to the saying, “End justifies the means”?
For a Christian the means is as important as the end.

1. Why did Jesus tell his disciples, “Do not let your hearts be troubled”?
Jesus told his disciples to believe in God and Jesus, Jesus is going to prepare a place for them and will
come back and take them to be with Jesus.
2. What are the two most important things Jesus said, that confused his disciples?
Jesus said , “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that
you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going”.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through
me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have
seen him.”
1. What does Jesus’ answer to Thomas prove Jesus to be? What are the three ideas in it?
The answer means that the only way to the Father is through Jesus Christ. Way, Truth, and Life.
2. Why is Jesus Christ the Way?
“Way” is not a geographical term. It means that Jesus is the way to God and the kingdom of God. He is
no only the way but also the guide. He has become a bridge between God and Man. To know the way
means to know Jesus. The way of the cross which is full of sufferings, is Jesus’ way. It is the way to
success through the path of humility.
3. Why is Jesus the Truth?
Jesus is truly the Saviour described in the Word of God. He is the fulfilment of the prophecies in the
Old Testament. It is the truth of idea and personality that is indicated here. Truth also refers to the
ultimate reality that is God.
4. How is Jesus the Life?
Jesus is the Life come from God to save Mankind from sin and eternal death. He is the ‘true light that
gives light to every man’. He gave his life to those in sin, and his Spirit gave them strength. Jesus is the
true life. We should know Jesus, who is the source of eternal life, capable of enlivening everyone.
Jesus is the spring, of truth and life. When we are closely relate to this spring the rich blessings of
abundant life are poured into us. So, to live with Jesus is the noblest life.
5. What should we do on the basis of this study?
Believe in Jesus Christ and accept him as our Personal Saviour and Lord. He is the Only Way, Truth and
the Life.
