Chapter:- The plant world
1. We can see plants every where such as
 In the garden
 In the house
 On mountains
 In the forest
 In the lake and pounds
 In cold and dry places
We see many kinds of plant
 Trees
 Are big and strong
Example:- Neem, pipal, coconut, tree
 Shrubs
- Are smaller than trees and they are bushy plant
- They have hard thin stem and many branches
E.g:- hibiscus, rose
 Herbs
 Are small plants have soft and green steam
Example:- grass, mint, lettuce, beet root, carrot
 Climbers and Creepers
- Have weak stem and can’t stand straight by their own
- Climbers climb up stick and walls.
Examples:- pea, morning glory.
- Creepers can’t stand straight they grow along the ground Example pumpkin.
 Parts of plants
 Stem branch, leave, fruit and seed are grown above the ground and root
grows under the ground.
 Stem
 It help the plant stand straight.
 The stem of a tree is thick and straight we call it trunk.
 Branches
- It grows out the steam.
 Leaves
- It grows on the branches
- Most of them are green
- They may big and small.
Example:- The banana leaves are big
The roses are small.
 Flowers and fruits
 Buds and flowers grow branches
 Seeds grow in to new plants.
 Roots
 Grows under the ground
 Help the plant hold on to the soil.
 They take absorb water and other.

 Means simply dry fruit.
Example:- almonds, cashwnut.
Seed to plants
Each seed has a baby plants inside it. When the seed has just
 The right amount of water.
 Sun light.
 Air then it will grow to plant.
What do plants need to grow?
1. Take a small pot.
2. Put some soil in it.
3. Place some seeds in the soil.
4. The place the pot in a sunny place.
5. Water the pot every day do not pour too much water.
 Then our seeds will grow in to plants.
