Rip and Print Operations

12 Maintop Software
SinoColor printer can process images into Prn format files through Maintop software.
After setup ,

software interface
12.1 Maintop Setup

Note: Printer setup only need to be set once after finishing Maintop installation, later run
with default setting.

12.1.1 Click File in the top left corner, pull up the menu.

12.1.2 Choose to build new file option: New…, the pop up page is as follows.

12.1.3 Click OK to set blank paper, the paper area is the area that printers to be print.

12.1.4 After setting blank paper, click File again to pull up menu.
12.1.5 Click Printer Setup…, the dialogue window pops up.

12.1.6 Click Install to enter next dialogue window.


12.1.7 Click Custom

12.1.8 Choose already-installed Maintop driver files in this dialogue window, double-click,
jump back to the Printer Setup dialogue window.
12.1.9 Select the printer installed just now, click Set As Default Printer, Click OK to make
sure save the settings.
12.2 Image Loading

12.2.1 Click the icon in the red box.

pop up the following dialogue window. Choose image need to be printed, click OK or
double-click selected image.

12.2.2 Click OK to load the image.


12.3 Image Processing

12.3.1 Select the image, click the icon pointed by arrow to pop up adjustment box in the
red box.

Then right-click the image to pop up context menu.


12.3.2 Click on the first item: Frame Attribution, set the print size of image in the pop-up
dialogue window. If you need to keep the length-to-width ratio of image, you need to click
Constrain Proportion after changing the image length (or width)

12.3.3 After setting the print size of image, we find the image size is not conformed with
paper size. So the paper need to be set.
12.3.4 Pull up File menu, click Paper Setup to pop up dialogue window.
In Size box, set paper length and width in terms of image size. Generally the length and
width of paper is set to be between 0 and 1 mm wider than the length and width of image.
12.3.5 If the size of image is conformed with paper size, but the image is not in the range
of paper. We can select the image and click the two icons in the red box below, making the
image horizontally and vertically in the paper.
12.4 Image Printing

12.4.1 Click the print icon to pop up dialogue window.

12.4.2 Click Properties to enter next screen.

12.4.3 Auto-set Paper: Click here, image size can be automatically set in
terms of paper size.
Select required print resolution

Choose File to process image into


file.

Select the curve corresponding to the


print resolution

12.4.4 After selecting print resolution and curve, click OK to save, return to the
last screen.

Click Print to File, process image into Prn format file, and named for easy to
find.
12.4.5 Open ControlPad, select just now ripped Prn format file in the right of
File List column to print. (Note: the software need to be calibrated in
advance.)
