The sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in a deep purple and fading gold.

Mia's family took a post-dinner


stroll through a quiet, ancient town where time was suspended. The cobblestone streets glistened under a soft glow
of flickering streetlamps, while their laughter filled the air blending with the gentle whispers of the wind. As they
strolled, Mia felt an overwhelming sense of joy that filled her chest with warmth and
made everything around her seem more vibrant. Each step was light, and the world felt magical as if the barriers
between dreams and reality had blurred.

At first, the evening felt magical. We marveled at the unique architecture, pointing out colourful flowers peeking
from the weathered stone wall. They laughter was infectious, creating a moment of togetherness that felt timeless.
However, as they ventured deeper into the narrow alleys, the enchanting atmosphere shifted into a
dreadful one. The path narrowed, and the darkness enveloped them, swallowing the comforting light. The air
grew thicker and heavier, and unsettling eerie feelings replaced the joyful chatter.

Suddenly, Mia felt a knot of panic twist in my stomach. The familiar landmarks now faded into obscurity. She
automatically searched for her phone in her handbag, only to be met with a spinning loading circle. A sharp
hoot from the owl echoed through the night. She glanced at her parents; their faces reflecting hers. Mia's
parents exchanged worried glances, trying to remain calm even though the sense of uncertainty engulfed them
like a thick fog.

Silence fell over the group as they realized the truth—they were trapped, alone in the heart of the unknown,
with only each other to rely on.
