A jacket was lowered first. The boy was asked to stay still so that he does not lose his footing
and fall further down. When the ropes were being joined together our team leader kept on
talking to the boy and made him respond. He wanted him to keep awake because he knew that
the lower oxygen levels would make him sleep, it would be a sleep forever.

The rope was ready with a bowline with a loop large enough to fit around the boy's chest. The

Just before leaving for the Miss World pageant a few weeks ago, fbb Femina Miss India World
Manushi Chillar told us, "This is my one chance to show the world what India stands for and to
showcase the culture and values that I have been brought up with. I am going to make sure that
the world remembers India." And that's exactly what the gorgeous Manushi from Haryana
managed to do on Saturday at the glittering pageant held in Sanya, China, where she was
crowned Miss World 2017 among 118 contestants from various countries. Andrea Meza, Miss
Mexico, was crowned the first runner-up and Stephanie Hill, Miss England, the second runner-
up.

Manushi is the sixth Indian to be chosen Miss World and she will bring the crown back to
India after 17 vears; Reita Faria was the first Indian to bag the title in 1966 followed by
Aishwarya Rai in 1997, Yukta Mookhey in 1999 and Priyanka Chopra in 2000.
