Jaishiki

Jaishiki, once a human with a God complex, used his ability to extract and manipulate the evil within others to create monsters for combat. After being defeated by those he wronged, he transformed into a chaotic being in a void, struggling with the voices of the evil he absorbed. Ultimately, he gained clarity and sympathy, allowing him to regain control and return to reality.

Jaishiki (Evil Will Container)

Jaishiki’s life up to a certain point is a constant blur of sights and sounds he can scarcely line up
coherently. He was human before this, right? With long black hair, and a pair of glasses he needed to
see clearly. His natural affinity for the mystic, alongside his dashing looks led to a strong ego and sense
of entitlement almost to the level of a full-on God complex. Jaishiki believed anything and everything in
this world existed for his sake, and anyone who got in the way of that was an enemy. He would usually
avoid direct combat himself, instead relying on his signature technique, tearing a portion of the very evil
within someone’s heart out and storing it within a set of containers he always kept on himself. When he
needed to, he would then release a portion of that evil and shape it into a variety of monsters to fight
for him, before containing it once again. However, one day his sinister actions came back to bite him, as
a group of people he had all wronged or hurt in some way banded together to defeat him. That day was
the only clear memory of a past Jaishiki had. They destroyed any monster he sent, eventually landing a
killing blow on Jaishiki himself. With no more strength left, the spells he had on the containers began to
fade, and the evil within them poured out, surrounding his body and gathering within it, causing his
form to shift and distort. As the transformation occurred, manifestations of his power went off wildly,
and he fell through a portal, ending up in a pitch-black void, a space between reality and…well, he
wasn’t sure. He wasn’t even sure who he was anymore. His original name was gone from his mind, as
were most of his memories. He could barely even think in this new form. It felt like every part of his
body was another separate being trying to take control all at once, hundreds of scattered voices yelling
what to do, each an echo of the people whose evil essence now made up his body. He struggled within
that void for so long he can’t even remember when he entered it. The longer he existed within that void,
the more he struggled, the harder it became to differentiate himself from the voices that made up his
form. Perhaps, all that time caused him to go mad, or maybe it’s what made him sane. Jaishiki can’t be
certain which it was. But either way, he was eventually able to find a sense of clarity in his situation from
one moment. A sliver of something none of the other voices could ever experience. He felt pity, for
those mindless voices, stuck within an endless loop of hate and destruction. Perhaps, it had come from
spending so long within that place that he had began to understand them more then he ever did anyone
else in his life. It was from this clarity that he was able to reflect further on that emotion, that new
sensation, sympathy. It was from that newfound trait that Jaishiki was able to separate his mind from
the evil that made him, and take control of his body, tearing his way back into reality.
